Fujifilm Instax Mini Evo vs. Mini 90 Neo Classic Comparison and Image Quality

Most people nowadays don't even understand how analog cameras work. While analog has some charm in it, I think the best choice for an average person is to go with the digital mini evo. They won't waste film that way. Also, the mini evo doubles as a printer so you can use your phone. Very often my iphone is the only camera that I have on my. I can capture a moment and print on my camera at home straight from my iphone. I want to start making albums with my family like the good old day. A while back my mom handed me the old pics taken from a simple digital camera in the 90s. Not the best quality, not the best format, but it had its charm and we would look at those pics frequently. When it comes to personal photography, it's usually not about the best possible quality, it's about capturing the moment.

Right now the Evo is $60 more than the mini 90 but for $60 your getting a camera AND a photo printer for your phone pics. That I think is worth the extra money.

Depends on what you are looking for: Analog experience or you just want some prints? A lot of people buy Instax for the analog fun, and for them the Mini 90 is a better choice.

Great video. A friend once had a Polaroid printer that hooks to your phone and prints instax sized pics. They looked very obviously printed, though. Very digital and kinda pixelated looking.... didn't look like an instant photo. Does the evo still produce images that look like a "natural" instant photo, or do they look printed?

Since theres a bit of a change from printing it directly from mini evo and through the Bluetooth from the device, will there be a change if you try transferring an image from your phone or high resolution camera to the sd card and then print it through the mini evo?

Does evo and neo 90 have same photo print quality? Because yes both camera using chemical instax paper to develop photo, but in instax neo we can add some digital filter and color, does photo captured and printed from instax neo looks pixelated and more digital?

I liks the idea of back to analogue with the Evo Mini 90 but I dont like the idea of having to take more than one shot to get the picture you want if the first one doesn't turn out right. The landscape at the end was totally unsatisfactory on the Mini 90, it should have turned out a lot better than that. I think it's the Mini Evo for me, I wouldn't want to waste money on a load of expensive prints that end up in the bin.

Thanks for your review! I think Mini 90 is more appealing to me because the flash light can be turned off. Otherwise every time I feel like blind after the flash fire. Not sure if I can turn off the flash on Mini EVO?

The evo is great, but to be clear the image quality itself is worse than your phone camera so it’s not really an alternative for a digital camera- it’s more just for printing and playing with the effects for the aesthetic

Let’s assume that you can shoot 5 packs on each charge. Than means you 1500 packs of film. At almost $10 per pack that is $15000 worth of film. The number of people who kill the battery due to high usage must be minimal.

Truly agree… I want this one so bad but it the battery life that’s killing me i would hate to get comfortable with this camera. I plan on using it a lot hence being able to do multi prints :(
