Fujifilm X10 for video - not very high quality but still charming

I have the lovely Fujifilm X10 somewhere in a drawer, thinking I might use it with proper lighting to record some KZbin shorts for pure fun, being it 1080p (unlike my basic webcam at 720p). Great video!

Hi Don! Thanks so much for watching. I do not own an X-E1 but I know quite a nit about it. It's a very nice camera and certainly suitable for manual lenses. Focus peaking is what makes manual lenses easy to use with X-E1. Kind regards!

I have an X-E1. Have a couple of manual Olympus OM lenses that I use on it occasionally and its a fine bit of kit which gives stunning results.

@@The58stupot Hi Stuart! Thank you for this interesting piece of information. I've never used Olympus lenses with Fuji cameras but your report makes me curious. I've used Nikon lenses with Fuji ( kzbin.info/www/bejne/hoTWqqRul76Xn9E ) and they do not work as well as Fuji's own lenses. Kind regards!

So this means you can't manual focus during the video? I've seen many videos with focus breathing, is there anyway to stop the breathing?

Hi Stan! Yes, this is true. The video functions on this camera are very basic. As to focus breathing, this is a problem with most lenses. I'd say that the X10 is quite OK in that regard. I do not think you can stop visible focus breathing by any other method than very careful focusing. People who do lots of video work pay attention to focus breathing when the choose lenses.
