It might seem like a small thing but the part at the beginning about how the add-ons have changed saved my sanity. A lot of KZbin vids mention stuff like "let's go to armature and add a single bone" or "enable auto mirror" but those were moved in this update and that wasn't immediately obvious.

I must admit, I tried to return the new rigging course because I thought the trailer was a bit misleading. I wanted to learn how that animation was created. That being said, you turn around and do this. THIS is the main reason why I invest in you. You didn’t let me down. However, I wish this was a part of that course before I purchased it. I see you are listening to your fan base! Thanks!!🙏🏽 More scene animations like this is all I wish!

I'm sorry but it was a teaser, not a trailer. I don't think the description video was misleading at all. Also, making a detailed course around such a short is impossible. I worked for 2 month on it, almost day and night. A 300 hours course would not be enough. But I'm happy you're liking this content. I do my best.

Sidenote about the rim lights: you should be able to use light linking so the lights only affect certain objects/collections. that way you wont have to make sure the light doesnt show up on the background when making rim lights

You know how you just filled the 2D FX layer. That could also be used to make a silhouette. Just render your characters with a transparent background. Add set the fill color to black!! That information has changed my life forever, I've been doing it the long and tedious way. But not anymore 😁

Excellent video as always! For those using AE, do be careful about the Adobe terms and conditions you sign up for. Clauses 4.1 and 4.2 grant Adobe license to your content, that is what you create and what you even upload in there. Adobe had to backtrack in late June, but to many including me, the trust is broken.

Hi Pierrick, I was wondering if you could rig this cat from "The Food Thief RIGG - Technical breakdown" demo in Blender. The rig was made by Kippcase rigging studio for Mindbender Animation Studio. What blow us away is how expressive and shape changing the rig is, like different forms of mouth, eyes, body parts that normal rigging would not able to achieve this. It looks like Metaballs but wasn't. We are guessing it could be multiple rigs fused together with seamless transitions from one extreme rig to another. The rig was created in Maya and It could be great if you can help us to decode on how to achieve this effect.

recently I have switched form maya to blender. Can anyone tell me how to select multiple controllers and rotate all of them together while setting up a pose.. for example select all the spine controls and rotate together OR all the finger controllers and rotate together. I tried that in blender but its rotating only the last selected control.. Eagerly waiting for a response. Thanks.
@starianneeridani6169Ай бұрын
If by any chance you haven't solved this in these past three months, are you using the on-screen rotation tool or pressing R for the rotation hotkey? If you're doing the former, try the latter. Having used both softwares, here's some other stuff that might be helpful to someone switching to Blender: not only can you press X, Y, and Z to lock the axis of rotation, you can press shift and then one of these axes to rotate on all axes except that one (ex: R + shift + Z to rotate on X and Y only). This also works for moving with G and scaling with S as well as certain other operations, ex. shearing (skewing). By default, Blender will use global space for the axes, but at the top of the screen where it says "global" you can switch it to use the object's local space. This will only work if you haven't applied the transforms (Blender equivalent to freezing transforms) One button to the right you can switch the pivot point from "median point" to "individual origins" and it will behave the way Maya does when transforming multiple ungrouped objects. If you want precise control over the exact position of your pivot point, that's what the 3D cursor is for, but it's kinda annoying to position compared to Maya and there are only a few circumstances where I'll find myself using it, namely when I'm trying to adjust object origin points. 99% of the time, "Individual Origins," "Median Point" and "Active Element" are all you really need.
