Note to my future self, do not reach out for an electric fence when it says "warning electric fence" 😂🥴⚡️ P

Loved this! Well done guys. You pushed through so well... I'd definitely be camping in the grave yard, you guys are far fitter than I haha, I was knackered watching you guys so a big welldone. Great video as always, full of adventure and my fav of the series so far! 💜 All the best Rob x

Ah thanks mate, coming from you this means a lot, as we know damn well you put the epic miles in yourself 👊😊. Think this was the most exhausting day we have ever had, we were absolutely spent by the time we reached mile 24 after dark🥴. But you are spot on, what an adventure! A day we will remember forever😊👌. Believe us, we did consider the graveyard, we were that desperate to find a pitch at that point 😂, but decided to push on, don't think we would have got much sleep there anyway 😱😂. Thanks very much for watching, All the best, Pete and Shell 😊👊👍

Ah thanks Ken👍. Luckily the rain subsided to get the tent packed up, and then came back with a vengeance on trail 🌧😮😂

Typical, the rain stops just as you got packed up....those fields you had to walk though looked tough and wet going and loved the Nono tradition. Less cows sounds the best route too me, especially with the bonus of great scenery and you had to mention dark clouds lol. I think lunch was as good as you could have expected and with heavy backpacks the hips don't lie! Wow, I think bushed was an understatement, you both looked absolutely knackered, even the cows were showing their concern. What a hike that was and just as well you did join Shell when you did after the graveyard, it looks like she was just about on her knees and yes, even the local badger was getting concern too. Two days in one, I think I would have needed that extra day with my feet up recovering and yes, I did make it that far. I would have loved to have seen your expressions when you hit that bothy and flopped into bed, I bet it was heaven, cheers Alan

Hi Alan, You're not wrong, this trail is no longer maintained, so it is quite overgrown in places, and the long wet grass over uneven and boggy terrain soaked our feet! 😕. At least the rain went off for the first part of the day👍. Nos Nos seat has become a bit of a tradition for those doing the annandale way, it was a highlight for us, we love quirky things like that👍. Lunch was much needed and a nice spot. Our hips were aching, not something we have experienced before 😂🙈. Those cows were super scary! We thought they were going to jump the fence and stampede us at one point 😮🐮. Think this was the most exhausting day we have ever had, we were absolutely spent by the time we reached mile 24 after dark🥴. A day we will remember forever for sure!😊👌. The badger encounter was really special, and came so close to the finish line, we felt like it was nature's reward for pushing on🦡❤. We have never been so grateful to crawl into a warm bed back at the bothy, you are right, it was heaven! 😊. Thanks very much for watching, We hope you and Mrs metalman are fully recovered, and have a fantastic weekend All the best, Pete and Shell 😊👊👍

Oo dear guys raining all night, we have been there many times but its water therapy 😃as long as there is no wind ! It is so hard packing away in the rain though. What a great forest track, so quiet and lovely where you walked through farmland, shame about the bogs and uneven ground though but so kind of Wendy to give you not only water but juice and biscuits too. Loved how Norman had the notebook to write and advertise in and near the cute cows and singing birds 😃 Great footage of that massive herd of cows but sad they stopped you from getting a camp spot and that electric fence whoh... 😯 Pete mentioning caramel doughnuts and a big galaxy made me want some now ! The River Annan was full and flowing so nice, shame that the campsite had screaming kids and noisy music, we would have walked in and back out again too ! The graveyard remains were lovely to see from the Church that used to be there. That badger was adorable. Wow nearly 25 miles walking is a lot for one day but like you said, you got further on the trail. That was an epic day and great to watch 😃👍~ Anna

Hi Anna, Water therapy, we like that 😂 🌧. To be fair the sound of rain on the tent is pretty relaxing, it is just when you have to get out of it that the problems start 😂🙈. Wendy was a legend! What a lovely lady, she told us she use to hike with her husband, and often the depended on the kindness of others 😊. Nos Nos seat has become a bit of a tradition for those doing the annandale way, it was a highlight for us, we love quirky things like that👍. We were definitely fantasising about all the nice food we were going to have when we had finished, caramel doughnuts are petes favourite 🍩😋. Those cows were super scary! We thought they were going to jump the fence and stampede us at one point 😮🐮. Yes that noisy campsite definitely not for us! We would rather hike 25 miles instead😂. Think this was the most exhausting day we have ever had, we were absolutely spent by the time we reached mile 24 after dark🥴. But we did indeed keep smiling, hard not to when we were having such an adventure! A day we will remember forever😊👌. The badger encounter was really special, and came so close to the finish line, we felt like it was nature's reward for pushing on🦡❤. Thanks very much for watching, We hope you are all well and have a fantastic weekend All the best, Pete and Shell 😊👊👍

Ah, 2 videos behind. So sorry guys, been mad busy as always. This one tonight and the next tomorrow. Lovely voice over at the beginning, not so sure about the pouring down rain. Glad you got a good sleep though! You looked so enthusiastic to do the trail Shell 😂. Good dental advice to the kids there!! I don’t think we’d ever do camping like that, but it genuinely looks idyllic. Waking up in the woods in the middle of nowhere then starting off the day’s adventure, very cool! Love the door gate pallet bridge!!! It certainly seems to be well signed though. The mud looks rubbish! Nice one Wendy….very Famous Five. Rach says Wendy is ace (that was her mum’s name). Really love the No No seats and note pads, what a lovely idea and what a lovely view. Loving that woodland, very mystical and relaxing. Yep, less cows any day of the week!!! Ooh, you weren’t wrong about the rain, we love that torrential rain doesn’t phase you or compromise your upbeatness (if that’s a word) and positivity. Glad Dougal is still showing his support. Mmm caramel doughnuts!!! You both look knacketed, Rach says she would be very grumpy by that point, and we ain’t going anywhere near those cows!! Ooh, watch out for the electric fence 😂. Mmmm Galaxy!!! Tiredness and boggy cow filled fields aside, it does look lovely there by the river. Camp site or warm bed and shower, I know what gets our vote. Ah, we’d pass on that camp site too!! Come on guys, we’re rooting for you, and nice one Shell, it’s an adventure that you’ll look back on and have a good story to tell! Go on both, you can do it!!! Loving that graveyard, very atmospheric. Love the skull and cross bones…pirates!!!! Wow, loved the badger. Jeez guys, 11pm and 2 days walking in 1. Well us 2 have made it this far, and we want to send you over some Compeeds!! Fair play, that was some hike, hope you got your warm bed and shower. Can’t wait to watch the next one tomorrow. We really loved that!!! Top work x

Hi Rach and Wills, Ah no worries at all guys, never any rush to watch our videos, we are just made up you guys take the time to stop by😊👊. To be fair the sound of rain on the tent was pretty relaxing, and that spot in the woodland was magical, it is just when you have to get out of it that the problems start 😂🙈. But then the rain cleared and we did feel raring to go! At the start of the day anyway😂🙈. Wendy was a legend! What a lovely lady, she told us she use to hike with her husband, and often the depended on the kindness of others 😊. We have always loved the name Wendy, reminds us of Peter Pan, my favourite story, my (Shell) mum use to call me Tink, and i think i married the original Peter Pan, the boy who never grew up😂❤. Nos Nos seat has become a bit of a tradition for those doing the annandale way, it was a highlight for us, we love quirky things like that👍. We were definitely fantasising about all the nice food we were going to have when we had finished, caramel doughnuts are petes favourite, tune into the next video to watch his dreams come true!🍩😋. Those cows were super scary! We thought they were going to jump the fence and stampede us at one point 😮🐮. Yes that noisy campsite definitely not for us! We would rather hike 24 miles instead😂. Think this was the most exhausting day we have ever had, we were absolutely spent by the time we reached mile 24 after dark, we could have done with those compeeds the state our feet were in!🥴. But we did indeed keep smiling, hard not to when we were having such an adventure! A day we will remember forever😊👌. The badger encounter was really special, and came so close to the finish line, we felt like it was nature's reward for pushing on🦡❤. Dougal was chipper the whole trail, as you would be being carried the whole way😂🐑. Thanks very much for watching guys! We hope you have relaxing weekend after your busy week. Cheers, Pete and Shell 😊👊👍

That looked very tough you two!! Gosh that is an underused path isn’t it. Loved that first bridge 😃 How cool to be given some Orange Juice and biscuits from Wendy. And Nono’s seat is a beautiful touch. But now see the ways those cows crept up on you! 😃 Love the way the route crosses the river. Surprised that the route splits for a bit though. Love that the route has a lot of woodland paths. 😍 Absolute nightmare that you couldn’t find a campsite - you both looked totally shattered!! Oh no that campsite looked awful. 🤦🏻♂️ Amazing that you kept going - just brilliant. What a huge day that was but just proved to yourselves what you can do. Probably best to avoid camping at the graveyard! 😃😃 So so cool to see that Badger at the end. Flippin heck I am knackered just watching that! Just brilliant you two. An amazing watch! Phew!! 😳

Hi Dave and Sue, Hope you are both well, we caught up on your Boss video last night, will head over to add a comment shortly 😊👊👍. This trail is very underused and isn't really maintained anymore, the up side of that is that we practically had it to ourselves, the down side being lots of bracken bashing and wet feet cutting through all the wet grass and bog🫣😆. Wendy was a legend! What a lovely lady, she told us she use to hike with her husband, and often the depended on the kindness of others 😊. Nos Nos seat has become a bit of a tradition for those doing the annandale way, it was a highlight for us, we love quirky things like that👍. Those cows were super scary! Also we were so surprised by how big they were, this one was the size of a medium sized dog! Thanks very much for watching, We hope you are almost ready for your European travels🤩 All the best, Pete and Shell 😊👊👍

@@o.bsoutdoors3871 we are nearly ready. Back from Norfolk with the Grandkids. It’s funny about campsites. We were on a really busy one with lots of kids (first time we’ve done that) and we were surprised about the good atmosphere there. I think it depends on the owners - some just take the money and couldn’t care less! And some want to make it a good experience for everyone. The staff in Norfolk were absolutely brilliant. Badgers are huge aren’t they - especially the big Boars. Shocked me the first time I saw one! How cool to get natures thanks for that epic trek!!

Hi Shell, Hi Pete. Wow guys, you two are machines. I know how much I wanted the day to end on 17 miles on day three of the Cumbria Way. That was an epic day. Having said that, what a days adventure. Some beautiful scenery. Don’t understand why you didn’t want to pitch in a graveyard. It wouldn’t bother me in the slightest. 🤣🤣 🪦💀 Bring on the final leg. Have a great weekend guys All the best Dave 😃🏕️🥾⛰🏴
