Well I have to say that this series and your long distance hike was brilliant. Had us enthralled the whole way through. Day three was just the craziest and it was brilliant to see how quickly you recovered to get this final section done. Considering the rubbish weather conditions and the poor path conditions you both did brilliantly.👏👏👏👍👍 And then the tribute to your Mum, Shell, had us both in bits. She would be so very proud of what you’ve achieved, and so wonderful that you dedicated this walk to her. Just loved this Pete and Shell. Keep going guys and see you on the next one PS - I bet them beers tasted good 😃

Hi Dave and Sue, Thank you so much for such lovely words guys, it really does mean such a lot to us 😊. You set me off again saying mum would be proud of me, i hope so, she was such an inspirational and amazing lady, i was very lucky to have her in my life ❤. It felt right to dedicate this walk to her, i feel closest to her when i am walking, and as i said i am so grateful for every step, even the challenging ones like day 3!😂🙈. What an adventure we had, looking back, we loved every minute of it! Ooh those beers tasted even better than the biscoff caramel doughnuts 🍩😂 😋🍻. Cheers guys, we hope you both have a fabulous weekend, Shell and Pete 😊👊👍

ARDDERCHOG ! ( Excellent!)😃👏👏You both did soo well, its not easy hiking that far with rain and tents and big backpacks and especially with lots of boggy land around. You gave good advice that it doesnt always turn out like you plan depending on the time of year making it hard to find good spots to camp when its been raining etc. This was great, I loved all of the buttercups and especially loved that bakery ! The cakes looked amazing as well as Petes hog roast sausage roll and whoh biscoff caramel doughnuts 😃dreams do come true as Pete said 🍩This part of the trail was gorgeous and so quiet. So sorry to hear what happened to your mother Shell that must have been such a shock but she sounded amazing and I can see why you enjoy walking after seeing how she wasn't able to in the end. Loved the photos of her and you and this was a lovely dedication to her. This was so good to watch 👏👍🍩 ~ Anna

Hi Anna, We did try to give as honest advice as we could, as we said, other people's experience might be totally different to ours depending on the ground conditions, and the weather of course. We were lucky to see some really beautiful scenery on our hike, the buttercup meadows next to the river were a highlight, so pretty 😍. Haha that Biscoff caramel doughnut was the nicest doughnut we have ever tasted! Heaven! 😂 😋🍩. Ah thank you so much for the kind words, they mean a lot. Hey both, we’ve been looking forward to seeing this next instalment. For 2 people who did 2 days worth of walking the day before, you both look very refreshed. Only 7 miles, you can do that in an hour. Ah, Ken’s music, nice touch!!! Would look good for a dip, but looking a bit cold. The sun has come out, excellent!! Think you may have mentioned the sign posts 😂. Mmm pasty and doughnuts!!! Sausage roll, even better!!! Biscoff caramel doughnuts, the look on your faces say it all!!!! Need to do another 20 miles to walk them off 😂. Fuelled up? I’d need a snooze after eating those! Glad the sun was out to meet you at the finish line. What a moving story about your mum, you look like her Shell. Beautiful tribute ❤️. Hit that beehive!!! Source to Sea, very cool and very well done both. You should be incredibly proud! We’ve been cheering you on all the way (while childishly chuckling every time you say beef tub). Stop talking and go and have that beer!!! Top work both, we loved this series, oh, and congratulations to Dougal too!!! X

Good to see you dry and refreshed and still unsure how you managed to get a 24 miler in, especially in the weather you had. What a difference a day made and the trail looked much more appropriate and that buttercup meadow looked amazing. Ohhhh that shop and was that £17.45 order yours, it looked delicious there (that hog roast sausage roll - yum!), as did the bakery but how on earth did you wait all that way for those biscott caramel doughnut. Had to LOL at Shell, what a bite full - 10 out of 10 indeed. Aww, so sorry to hear about your beautiful late mother and what a cruel disease MS is but what a wonderful way to remember her by, brought a tear to my eye! Well done on reaching the end and a day early too, well deserved beers and hot tub but brilliant to see Shell's mother smiling down on you both with that amazing sunset, cheers Alan
