I might add to your conclusion of krile being an Azem shard, she's not the first Azem shard we've met either there's the kid in the rising stones too from heavenward, who based on the timeline we know now, after the original Golbez was killed, the next Azem for the 13th ended up too young to stop things. It begs the question, are there more shards of Azem from fallen reflections on the source.
@OmnicroneRED4 ай бұрын
@@rexex345 Krile can't be a shard of Azem because she is a soul from the Source (as all Milallas from the Unlost shard are). She is cited as being as dense in aether as any soul of the Source which means she thus can't be a reflection of any soul from the Source or that wouldn't add up. Though the game doesn't confirm this, I like to think that the original Sphene and Wuk Lamat are sundered shards. In EW we learn that souls have dispositions that they tend to reflect in their personalities even after countless reincarnations and that reflections share these same dispositions. And both the original Sphene and Wuk Lamat have the very similar vibe of having an naive and unconditional love for their people and culture.

I'm actually thinking that they were created post shattering? Maybe Emet decided to coin a smart af shard of Azem in on the Ascian plan, they went "Hmmm, nah I'm good" and created the key to hop to the source, then created a crapload of gates to other reflections. What I loved about Living Memory was the contrast it has to Endwalker's dinal zone. Instead of inhabitants all struggling to regain the happiness they once knew in life, everyone is content to the point that they've accepted their end, and don't fight the WoL and crew when they go around unplugging the place. Fear of the unknown end vs. acceptance of the inevitable. Don't get me wrong, Living Memory made me tear up just as much (if not more) than Ultima Thule, essentially going around pulling the plug on centuries-old life supports. Having lost multiple family members to illness, including my mother to cancer, I related all too well to the pain of having to figuratively pull the plug on mothers, which WoL and crew do not once, not twice, but *thrice*. I was *not* okay by the time I unlocked Alexandria. All that oversharing and rambling to say, I really liked this expansion and can't wait to see where they go with it.

The scene with Namikka in Living memory what the one that broke me. Because it reminded me of my grandmother. She died of cancer just over 10 years ago. I always visited her after school since the hospital was on the way home. But i still remember how i was unable to see her just before she passed. I was told that she was having trouble remembering things and people, and that it would be better if i stopped visiting. she passed maybe a week or two later. Wuk Lamat meeting Namikka in heritage found, only able to share in her company for a moment before it was time for her to pass on was hard enough. But then, when wuk lamat was able to talk to her one more time thanks to her being an Endless got me thinking about what i wouldn't do to talk to my grandmother one more time before she passed. And that broke me. Namikka may not have played a super important role in the msq, but she's by far the most impactful character for me in this expansion.

After everything, he couldn't surpass his father without aid/a literal second chance at life. Dawntrail would've finished with his father slaying a son turned evil that tried to destroy the people he helped. Then the minute Wuk Lamat broke his regulator, he instantly tried to raze Tuliyollal and when that falied, he tried to raze Solution Nine and use his son as a shield. He had 30 years to train and better himself personally. He was in a unique position and could've unlocked who knows what abilities unique to him, refined his skill, literally anything, but he didn't. A reoccuring pattern I am noticing with Dawntrail is that people in-game, streamers, and most of the people on KZbin have a positive view/reception of Dawntrail. Meanwhile on reddit and twitter its more mixed. Personally I trust the people I can actually see play the game more then the randoms on reddit and twitter, for multiple reasons (such as people on twitter and reddit not being know for meaningfull discussions). Especially with the current review bombing going on in Metacritic (they aren't even trying to hide that they are review bombing), and the fact that 80% of the "complaints" I've seen on reddit and twitter boil down to: -The person not paying attention to the story -the person outright lying about story events, characters, or other aspects of the game -confusing personal perference/issues with objectivity -media illiteracy -straight up being an idiot (this part is exclusively reserved for the people saying it is worse then ARR or (and this next part is a real thing a few people are doing on Metacritic) saying its worse then the Lord of the Rings Gollum game -mild transphobia (luckly this isn't too prevalent in most discussions, but there is still some there, more noticable in the review bombs) Like seriously, either there are a lot of trolls or new people in the community, or part lf the community severally mental regrassed and are now stupider then before.

This very much followed the ARR format of lighthearted adventure into the shit has truly hit the fan. Ya know, wandering around, helping people, getting back to the Waking Sands after Titan and all our friends are dead or captured. This was Rite of Succession, wandering around, helping people, getting back and everyone is being killed
@BBrawler1014 ай бұрын
Yeah! Which honestly makes it even more confusing people are comparing this expansion to Stormblood. This feels a lot more like ARR, especially with this expansion (hopefully) leading to another major story arc like Hydaelyn and Zodiark
@alexvandal40944 ай бұрын
@@BBrawler101I guess comparison is mostly to the plot being a lot weaker than HW, ShB or EW, and introduced characters being not as interesting as characters in said expansions (compare blond monk girl from Stormblood, Lyse I think, and on the other hand Ryne, Emet, Hythlo, Hermes and Meteion), so people probably compare expansions in that sense, as plot is not very captivating or important and all hope is for Savage and Ultimates, plus new Relic zone possibly

@@EatTheMarxists I’d say only saving feature would be hardcore content (extremes/savages/ultimates), but then again it’s not for everyone
@catierambles4 ай бұрын
@@EatTheMarxists someone's salty they're not the center of attention this expansion. not everything has to be OMG THE WORLD IS ENDING. Remember, the last story arc went from "okay we liberated a country. sweet." to "whatdoyoumeantheirsoulswererippedfromtheirbodies." over the course of a single patch. and seeing as there's always a queue to log in and the queue number is going up, people are not "unsubbing in droves" sooooo source? the fact that the WoL was a supporting character in this expansion was a welcome change. So I dunno....be salty over there somewhere. not here. I'll be here enjoying the content.

7:08:40 imo showing a picture of this dude isn't really a spoiler, since having that information doesn't tell you anything about who he is, what he does, or why you're fighting him. I think you could argue that showing solution 9 was a minor spoiler, but personally i'm fine with that kind of information since while it tells you that you're going to a futuristic location in the future, how or why you're going there and what happens when you get there is still something you get to deduce yourself. Love seeing your reactions to everything :)

Otis made me cry a lot because he's basically Steiner from ff9. He has his 'eager to protect' personality towards the Princess at any cost, was the Captain of the Guards and has the emblem of Alexandria on his shield. He's a full on cameo. This whole expansion is a love letter to ff9, and I love every bit of it. Also now I know woops would absolutely love Steiner 😂

4:49:31 remember, Viera can live up to hundreds of years
@MissLilianae4 ай бұрын
Some friends and I have gone back and forth on this. As best we can figure. It was most likely old age that killed her. Assuming she was in her 20s when she went on her journey with Galool Ja Ja, that would make her around 100 by the time we arrived in Tural since it's stated Tuliyollal has existed for 80 years. Then she got trapped in the barrier and experienced 30 years in a few hours from the outside putting her at at least 130. The only sources my friends and I could find say Viera live an average of 200 years. Compared to a, generous, human life span of 100 years Cahciua was roughly 65. She's definitely retirement age, but still young enough to be alive and kicking unless something happened. So it's definitely unclear, but for lack of information natural causes would be the most likely answer.
@J-manli4 ай бұрын
@@MissLilianae I do think that because Cahciua was 1) part of Gulool Ja ja’s original party and 2) a leader of the resistance, i could also believe Zareel Ja killing her.

I have a crackpot theory about the regulators being an artificial way to reproduce what the Viper job does naturally. it's burst combo is Reawaken into 1st-4th legacy/generation ending with Ouroboros the self devouring serpent representing a repeating cycle of destruction and rebirth. Consider that Viper's Reawaken is them going sicko mode and when Zoraal Ja and that hunter die and come back they go into a sicko mode as well.

When you find out Krile's origins, I also wondered the same thing... Except it doesn't explain Mikoto (Bozja), who also has Echo but as far as we know, is from the Source and can't be our reflection. The wiki also went on to state that there were others that also had Echo that were also from the Source. Really interesting.

It's genuinely kind of amazing how they introduced so many new characters and made me care about them just as much as some legacy characters in the space of one expansion like Wuk Lamat, Koana, Bakool Ja Ja, Gulool Ja Ja, and Otis, and also elevated characters who haven't got much like Erenville. Krile especially had one of the strongest sections in MSQ and it's so nice to see her finally get her flowers after being in the game for like a decade.
