If not maybe you can get all the doggy parents to help with the govt to make one so all the dogs can run free in a fenced in doggy park together. For shoes the brand Ryka is amazing & only makes women sports shoes. They fit amazingly and are very comfy. Best shoe I have ever worn for sports. The ciabatta sandwich sounds amazing. You really have so much variety, considering that everything has to be shipped in. It makes me wonder what it was like when the mines were open. There were probably a couple of hundred miners and they get hungry. Kroa looks like a great place to hang out, have a beer, meet friend and catch up on the town news. I don't think that anyone could love Svalbard more than you do. It's snow covered, grey and there are no trees and you're like "it's such a beautiful day!". I love that you're exactly where you want to be and you treasure every moment of it with Grim and Christoffer.

When I saw that a Viking cruise actually visits Longyearbyen, I got so excited. My husband thinks I’m crazy for seeking out any location where it’s cold because I am a sun worshipper and usually despise the cold and snow. However, I’m not looking to live there…just visit, and I think I can do that just fine! I noticed there are also nature expeditions to Spitsbergen. The raw beauty of this land intrigues me!

Grim and his husky friend were adorable! I don’t think $70 each is bad for a full day of eating out and about. That is cheaper than it would be in Las Vegas or LA with the same calibre of food. You had a lot of sushi too and it looked like quality sushi so that’s not cheap. Fun video!

As a tourist in Longyearbyen, I ate breakfast at the hotel, took a tour which are either full day with lunch included on the go or a half day tour finishing at 2pm-ish. I went to Husky café every time as too late for a sit down lunch. They have lovely sandwiches, sweet treats and an amazing rhubarbe juice. Left plenty of space for a nice dinner out after some afternoon exploration!

I am going to Svalbard with my sister at the beginning of June and the first place she wants to visit is the Husky Café. We cannot wait to go! Its such a beautiful place to visit and thank you for sharing your videos and experiences we are so excited to visit again! (last time was back in 2019). For tough nail trims, start by just showing the nail trimmers and giving a reward each time after he seems them (food should also come after), then move up to just touching his paws and offering a reward after each small touch. Then work up to holding his paws for a duration and reward after each hold, and slowly increase the duration. Then simulate moving the trimmers towards his paws, treat after each time. Basically very slowly working your way up through the "intensity" gradient. But the key is, if he says "no," to stop. this counterconditioning/desensitization process can take a long time, but if you work on a little.poece of it each day, it really helps to improve the feelings towards the nail trims. Also, you can ask your vet for an anxiolytic medication for nail trim days in the meantime. Here in the states, we commonly use trazodone.

This was good! I like seeing what locals do places and what goes on. Even down to boat care. Water getting in anything destroys it! I had this happen. It got in some place I never would look or see or even thought possible and the mold destroyed the thing. Faulty built of the item not my fault or a submerged incident. Just rain did it. So it is so good he checks everything. As for grim with other dogs hysterical he’s adorable.

So it averaged $23.33 for each of your three meals. High, but not insanely high. In my part of the world (California) an Egg McMuffin Meal for breakfast could set you back $9. Last week I ate at a Panera Bread in the Westfield Mall for lunch. A half sandwich, soup, potato chips and an iced tea cost over $20, and I didn't think it was anywhere near worth that. For a dinner at a regular type of sit-down restaurant, it's about $30. That's an average of $19.66 per meal, and the food didn't have to travel anywhere near what yours does to make it to my plate. When I travel, I don't really need three full meals. Two with snacking is fine. Even not traveling, I find I often do the same.
