What’s so fascinating to me about this video is that I was expecting somethings so much more “foreign” as an American… but this was very Pacific Northwest in your for choices your daily activities, watching below deck, drinking monster, your water bottle that everyone in Los Angeles carries around, your wardrobe, hair clip that everyone in LA is wearing, baking banana bread ! It’s so global so fun.

SO NICE to hear her speaking her native language ❤ You don't drink WATER after getting up? Coffee isn't good on many levels, to each their own, obviously, if you enjoy it good for you..... but a cup of water on empty stomach hydrates the body, especially if you drink coffee because it's dehydrating. Good luck with everything ❤

Oh Cecilia, I wanted you to know how much I loved Svalbard! ❤ I understand why you live there. Longyearbyen is a quaint town-nice shops, museum and your Coop store is well stocked. I followed locals into Kroa and enjoyed a veggie sandwich. Circumnavigating the Svalbard archipelago I was awed every single day by the scenery. Polar bears(nine sightings), walruses, reindeer, foxes, whales and the pleather of seabirds. Unbelievable glaciers, icebergs, ice floes. And then the Brasvalbreen ice field-an endless horizon of white. Thank you for sharing your life on Svalbard; and, I look forward to seeing the adventures you, Christopher and Grim do in the years to come. ❤️❤️

Love your channel and the beautiful views of Svalbard. My wife and I watch your channel regularly here at home on Vancouver Island (Victoria, British Columbia, Canada). As your channel is in the English language my wife and I are able enjoy it together (as she does not speak Swedish or Norwegian) but still allows her to see a bit of Scandinavian culture along with a Svalbard twist (she loves it). Myself, I was born in Göteborg (Swedish father and Norwegian mother) but moved to Canada in 1970 as a young boy. Thus, I can relate a bit on how you learned English having lived in an English speaking environment when you were younger.

Cecilia, I must say that you were acting like a child today! And I loved it! You were having so much fun! And please stop saying you do not cook well because really, you do cook well! Here is what I would suggest! When Christoffer is better, and I will pray he gets well soon, the two of you should prepare a meal together. I have seen Christoffer preparing meals, and there is no question he does extremely well at preparing some masterpieces. But what you prepared today is really good too! I always enjoy watching your channel. You are always informative and entertaining! You never take yourself too seriously and that makes you fun to watch! I pray you have an enjoyable week up in the northern end of the world! Talk to you later!

Yes! I absolutely love imitation crab meat! We have a salad here in the US that’s a deli crab salad and it’s made with flake style imitation crab meat. It’s SO good! It’s basically the imitation crab (flaked), diced red onion, celery, mayonnaise, salt, pepper, and a little bit of lemon juice. I also like to season mine with a bit of Old Bay seafood seasoning. Also, everything you made looked delicious. Hope Christoffer is feeling better.

I hope Christoffer is feeling better now, but what beautiful views to look out on while recovering. Cecilia, when you make the sam3 recipe a number of times you can just do it without thinking. It becomes second nature. To make things taste right, think about the flavours you like about various recipes. The great thing about making it yourself is that you can make the flavours how you like them. The secret is to add seasonings and aromatics in very small amounts and keep adding until you can judge exactly how much to put in. When you can cook you can make anything you fancy which is great when you live in more remote locations. I always love your vlogs! Xxx❤ from England

You are not alone with the imitation crab Cecilia. I find it so addictive. I eat the sticks or the chunks even though it makes my stomach hurt after. 😂

I discovered that if I took my over ripe banana's and freeze them that I could use them later for banana bread. This way when you defrost them, you cut the end and squeeze out the banana and all of its juicy essence. The skin turns black but still is greT....

Love watching you cook. Doing great for someone who doesn't normally cook.

My Mum made the best banana bread. She'd double the eggs and bananas, so it was very moist. When she died, I kept the loaf pans. She couldn't cook, but her banana bread was a beautiful thing!

I love how all over the world, people's days are made, when they cut open an avocado and it's PERFECT. ❤

That looks like a perfect dinner to me (imitation crab and all). Lunch and breakfast wasn’t so bad either. I live in a suburb of Los Angeles in Southern California where we have moderate temps all year. Your videos are songs for my soul. I just found your channel and your videos make me yearn for your lifestyle although I am too old (75) to change now. Blessings to you and Christopher and Grim.
