Joshua was done after the punch in round 3. Simple as. He was shaken beyond simply being a matter of willing to fight or not. He simply struggled to stand straight. The corner should have stopped the fight during the break in round 3
@weallfollowmanutd Жыл бұрын
@@thrace336 The problem with AJ, is that he gets rocked badly with a clean shot. Takes him ages to recover. He did the same with Vlad, who also didn't pounce fast enough afterwards. There's no doubt in my mind AJs lack of recovery will always damage him. It's not a chin issue, it's this trouble he has after a bad hit. We saw shades of this with Whyte and Povetkin. Imagine a real power puncher like Wilder! AJ has this mental block now, where he's fearful of this in future fights. Ruiz in the second fight made it as easy as possible because he didn't look after his weight at all and AJ could run the whole fight. The truth is, AJ never has got over this and probably never will

End of round ¹ the commentary "interesting there was an actual conversation in the corner usually the fighter don't refute as much" the commentator has so much knowledge 👏🏾 he knew something was up from there

same here, i just think he was suprised at how ruiz fired back so quickly and agressively and punished any mistakes with combos from round 1 really. Would love to see ruiz fight other top heavyweights soon

this was one of the most entertaining fights ive seen in the last years, Anthony lost his title, but he gave us the entertainment that we wanted by trading blows with Ruiz and delivering multiple knockdowns.

This shows that muscles and height do not win fights, well, this time, if not the hunger of your opponent to be victorious and above all, his punch.

Big ups to Joshua for uploading his first fight with Ruiz, it takes some guts to do it. Ruiz had some ridiculous counter-attacks. I loved watching those. Congrats to Joshua for his win against Pulev, he had a different approach and new angles and they worked out beautifully. Pulev is my fellow countryman, he has decent skills but his sportsmanship and behavior is lackluster, that's why people lose respect for him. We Bulgarians support Pulev as much as we can, we are trying our best but sometimes he is making it hard for us with the way he is making an ass out of himself. We Bulgarians respect Joshua, he is a strong world champion.
