I'm 71, started flying February 2021, 800+ flight hours, about 700 in this glider, fly 2 or three times a week, so, a fair amount of experience. Still make mistakes from time to time, and like to "practice" abnormal events (safely...), and flew RC gliders often many years ago.

Nice, but…….. if that was my 103 or me standing by it I prefer people not to do a roll out directly towards me or my glider. It only takes one or once 😧

Hey mate, what a butter smooth landing! Personally I do not know much about gliders, but you apparently do, so I wanted to ask if this sort of diving into the landing is the norm and why its done?

Practice for short field landing. You may not always have a 6000 foot paved runway on which to land.
