I've been doing this workout every day for 3 weeks, and it's been extremely helpful and I've lost a decent amount of weight doing it. I can't say how much because I haven't been weighing myself as much as I should, but it is a visible amount. I'm beginning to see my abs, despite not doing any ab-specific workouts or changing my diet.

@@kolomonsane9013 Your comment makes me sad since it's a bit defeatist (nothing against you personally) and can lead people to have similar beliefs. We can absolutely achieve true health at older ages with a proper lifestyle of exercise and nutrition (stay away from carbs/sugars, seed oils, and processed foods while limiting many veggies since they contain anti-nutrients and the nutrients that do exist in them aren't readily bioavailable). Many who follow such a regimen have reported feeling better at 50 or 60 than they did in their youth because they don't have to deal with chronic metabolic diseases such as hypertension, cardiovascular disease, dementia, and even cancer (it's not mainly genetic). Try it out. It's never too late! 😊💪
@kolomonsane9013
@kolomonsane9013 7 ай бұрын
@@louiea4276 interesting, but do you think it must be that extreme ? limit veggies ? It was kinda easier before, just eat healthy and move, isnt it enough, we generally know what to do and not to do. With that quote, i took it as an extreme, cuz i saw it in some cringe self-imp subreddit or video, like you should take it fckin seriously and grind for the best look and best health, this wont be fun for the most people, but now i read it again and yeah, you re right, i personally live quite healthy, but i dont think you have to be aware of everything you eat all the time. You wrote a nice reaction and i appreciate it. :)
@louiea4276
@louiea4276 7 ай бұрын
@@kolomonsane9013 When I first heard about a way of eating that involved little to no fruits (because of the high sugars in most modern fruits, especially fructose) and vegetables, I thought it was crazy. But then I started to cut my carbs since many people told me of the benefits of keeping insulin levels low. After a couple years of cutting sugars entirely and eating only about 10 percent carbs, I felt so good, mentally, physically, and emotionally (I was on anti-anxiety and antidepressant medications and got off of them after decades of dependence), that I wanted to see what it was like to go without the other stuff I mentioned. And it wasn't a "grind" at all. There have been times when my cravings for sweets have been really high, but that's because I was already aware of my own addictions to sugar and using food for comfort instead of nutrition. It's not so hard though, I promise. Nutrition and healthy living should never be something we grind or have to white-knuckle our way through. I thought I was eating healthy before with eating 6-7 times a day in small amounts and keeping myself at a caloric deficit to stay thin. I was always hungry and my mood fluctuated often. This way of living is far more stable and sustainable 😉 Two years with mostly meat, dairy, and natural fat (this one is key since the brain needs ketones and fat to work optimally) and I've never felt better 👍 Follow the science instead of the dogma, I say haha

Please do more follow alongs!! Follow along workouts are so much easier to get the motivation to do. It's similar to how going to the gym with friends is so much easier than working out alone. No need to think about how to structure the workout, no thinking about how long to rest, or how to do each exercise, just follow the little man on the screen. Brilliant

Doing bodyweight training from 3 years now, including crossfit from 2 years ago too, and when I switch calisthenics for another type or training I ended going back to bodyweight training, for me help me a lot in health area and put my mind in the form when doing crossfit. Edit: just for sharing, my first year I loose 10 kg, went from 93 kilos to 83, just doing bodyweight and jump rope, now I am working in a body recomposition doing bodyweight with some advance movement (archers push ups and assisted pistol squats) and weighted calisthenics (pull ups and dips)

I finally tried this and I had no idea how unprepared I was for this. I was taking it easy and still by minute 5 I was ready to call it, kept pushing to minute 10 and right around then I twisted my ankle on the lateral jumps and had to stop. I'll keep trying it once a week or so, hopefully I'll eventually make it to 30 minutes!

I’ve completed all 5-6 rounds a few months ago, changed up my routine to accommodate my work schedule, tried to fly through it again today, only made it to the 4th round. I still measure that as successful in it own personal estimation, as it’s only to supplement my martial arts training (which btw I’ve gained a lot of perspective via Grant and The Bioneer) by having a more economically and scientifically sound approach to training, can’t thank you guys enough.

Firstly great workout, Grant! I've been doing this twice a week to bookend my strength/muscle maintaining workouts in-between. I always have to rest an extra 30 seconds on round 3 after the dreaded burpees combo (I'm 45) but the huge gains in both overall athletic fitness not to mention weight loss makes it so worthwhile. Thanks! 💪⚡

Thanks brother for another great one! One comment I would say is there is almost no pulling motion in these workouts. Only push, core, and legs. The only thing that comes close is the shoot throughs. Suits a striker for sure but grappling and body composition and funcionality demand a healthy dose of pulling as well.
