It’s just what I prefer but I’m sure you can do whatever works for you and your hair, I don’t have a specific reason why I do it. I like to match my shampoo and conditioners and I like to deep condition

Yes ma’am. Conditioner isn’t really for your scalp nor roots since you just cleansed your scalp you want to keep it that way. I focus on my ends because it’s the oldest part of my hair and they need the most attention and I’m trying to replenish the moisture within my hair strands not build up product on my scalp right after I just washed it. Hope this helps!

How often do you use it as a prepoo (bc I know you mentioned you don't prepoo everytime you wash)? I've been thinking about this...I usually don't prepoo but I like the mayo so...maybe I'll start

I use it maybe twice a month. I wash my hair quite often and use it only about 1/2 the time. I don’t prepoo often because I don’t find that it does a whole lot to my hair but sometimes I use it as the slip necessary to detangle my hair. It has protein in it so if you’re looking for extra protein this can help. Try it out maybe it might work for you!

Do you use hot, warm, cool, or cold water? For rinsing?

Depends. When I’m shampooing I’ll more than likely use warm water to open up the cuticle but after I’ve conditioned i try to use cool to close them back up. (It doesn’t always work this way.) typically I stick to warm because it’s the most comfortable temperature for me.

I don’t really subscribe to the hair typing system just because it’s way to broad to accommodate to everyone so I just say type 4

Appreciate your concern I wash my hair once a week, washing it twice in one day leave it extremely dry and brittle. I clarify throughout the week aswell. Trust me I’m not lazy when it comes to my crown.

@@KathleenEd So the way shampoo works is that the first cleanse lifts the dirt an oil from your hair and scalp. The second cleanse washes the dirt and oil away. That’s it’s best to lather, rinse (1st time), and repeat (2nd time).
