Everything looks straight out of a home and garden magazine- so chic, pretty, and stylish. I do not see the chaos you speak of, I just see abundance and a beautiful soft color palette. No wrappers, no boxes, hardly any plastic. Your pantry has a natural glow. I can see some onion rings, crispy onion topping, and butternut squash cookies in your future! Looking forward to more videos and all the lovely food you will prepare this winter. Thanks for sharing!

25:44 I've always heard that freezing keeps all of the vitamins/minerals/nutrients and canning destroys pretty much all them
@FairlyRooted19 сағат бұрын
I would semi-agree with that, heating food doesn’t destroy all the vitamins and minerals in the food, sometimes it can even release more for body absorption. Freezing is definitely better in my opinion, but when it comes to food storage I go all routes. I would rather do all the things than do only one.

In Spain when we buy the eggs in supermarkets they are not in the frigde abd they have poop and chicken feathers but we are recommended to never wash the eggs
@FairlyRootedКүн бұрын
We keep the eggs on the counter, unwashed, so that the bloom stays on (that way they stay good at room temperature). We only wash the eggs right before cooking, that way we don't get poop/feathers around the cooking area.

Don't worry about how your home looks. It's yours, you have to function and live in it so do what works for you. Honestly, your home is probably like most, it's not the "social media show room" that others project. Love that you all are so real and relatable.

Edible flowers do mostly taste gross! Same with edible weeds! Sure, you could in a pinch, if you had nothing else but there is a reason no one grows weeds on purpose.
@FairlyRootedКүн бұрын
The very reason we bred and “domesticated” weeds is to make them more edible and tasty… it’s why we have carrots for example! 😂🎉

Some of them are really delicious. That is because you are not used to eating them.

Some of them are absolutely delicious. I personally like clover and pansies. But many mushrooms, weeds and flowers may be edible but still not taste good haha 🤣
@es781815 сағат бұрын
@@FairlyRooted as i posted the original i was thinking.. well clover is ok i guess. have you noticed though that some of the "foragers guides" or "edible weeds" that are published are actually just cultivated cover crops? so they're growing "wild" at the side of the road near farms but they're not actually weeds lol
