Such an underrated channel, the value you provide is crazy, I've recently switched over to a more slow and controlled type of training and some of these tips have really helped me level up

Great video. What’s the thought behind extra shoulder padding on the hack squat? Is it to raise the sled a little higher so you can get even deeper?
@loganriley211710 ай бұрын
Exactly, it’s to extend the ROM to a point where the machine doesn’t limit how deep you can go, but the athletes ability will instead

Every video I've seen says no heels off the pad on the leg press. Interesting.

Good question! Hope this gets answered. With the hack squat I've heard about the same story, yet Platz did the sissy squat which also broke with that trend. As a PT I also got taught to keep full contact with the three points of the foot.

Joe, if you see this, thank you for the awesome content man. If you don’t mind me asking: If you want to make the hard part harder, such as the bottom of a squat, what was the reasoning for the reverse banded hacks? Genuinely curious on your thought process behind that variation. Thank you, again!

The straps on the smith machine split squat look really great with limited shoulder ROM. I wonder if that can be done alone or if you need someone to rotate the bar.

Would you recommend knee wraps for most lifters? I imagine there are upsides and downsides

Curious why you have him using the band on the hack squat then afterward saying to get the most you can out of the hardest part of the movement. Doesn’t the band make the most beneficial part of the movement (the bottom, the stretch) easier?
@travis89475 ай бұрын
Easier on the knees getting out of the hole where they’re most vulnerable especially under that kind of weight

Why is the hack squat banded if it makes the bottom easier, when the bottom is the most beneficial?

you want to make it harder as you get to the top to smooth out the resistance curve
