We have that Prime Row at my gym. It's a great machine! I notice that you loaded the top peg (beginning of the range?) exclusively. Was that just to emphasize the stretch? I usually load the middle first, then start adding to the top.
@HypertrophyCoach8 ай бұрын
It’s not just about overloading the stretch, it’s also about overloading the exercise where it’s mechanically easiest. So I pretty much always put the vast majority on top.

Hey, thanks for the video! Picked up some really good cues on this one. Question, where did you get the long rope that you were using on the cable pullovers? Thanks!!!

Whats the difference between standing pullovers and seated incline pull overs!?
@Mrbobcat73 ай бұрын
Is there anything that help with width especially lower lats or is it just genetics? I've bedn lifting for 40 years and could never develop much of a v-taper. I have a thick back and was pretty good at deadlifts and pullups and always did rows too. Never did much wide grip pulldowns or chins as I heard a close or shoulder width was better and not as bad on the rotators, but was that a mistake of not going wider?

you ever train guys that get sternum pain from heavy chest supported rows?
@CyLvCompetetiv8 ай бұрын
How you come about, you say that the midrange might be more important than the lengthened position?
@HypertrophyCoach8 ай бұрын
Muscles produce the most force there (actual internal "bone-to-bone pull"). From a pure length-tension standpoint. Not the external expression of force (as is greatly affected by internal moment arms)

are dead stop rows like in a power rack or off the floor bad even if you do a normal eccentric and get to full hang for a brief moment before resting on the rack? Or does that brief deload of tension in the lengthened position detrimental to hypertrophy?

@lucasirvine62598 ай бұрын
Lean forward row for upper back as well or no ? Guessing this is more strict and makes it harder so no ego lifting with arse moving back mid set
@HypertrophyCoach8 ай бұрын
Not so much. Really just turn it into more of a pulldown. (If you look at upper arm position relative to torso). With some unique cuing this position provides.

Should you still use a machine if it feels unbalanced? For ex, my TBar row at my gym feels like it biases my left side note than my right. I feel like it can be an obvious answer of no… or it can be, that movement is so beneficial that you should look pass the minor imbalance
