@@jw_25 The why even fucking mention it? The foot break, if it broke, doesn't fucking matter if Pena didn't tap to it. Pena pushed to the back each time Nick failed to effectively apply a footlock. Stuffed all takedowns? Wtf are you talking about? Lastly, Pena had a sweep at the halfway point, advanced position, had the guillotine attempt, etc. Nicky couldn't even pass Pena's guard. What's more, anytime Nick didn't have a body lock or an "oh shit" footlock attempt, he just stalled. The only reason you think he won is because Pena ceded top position.

Nicky is like 12_14 since leaving danahar death squad. How many of those 14 matches do you think he won. He didn’t win fbis match. He stalled the entire match. Now you might be confused on the rules and think being on top is a dominant position like mma used to be. So maybe that’s why. Pena made Nicky scramble constantly. You don’t win a scramble. You scramble as you were beat and in a dangerous position. Nicky’s game is very basic. He just tries fo get a body lock pass. And skills are eroding the last year or so. As he and Craig and the teachers.
@Lockdown335
@Lockdown335 Жыл бұрын
@@SuperThesavage never had double hooks let alone control of the position either lol both dudes really neutralized each other well and i think Nicks footlock won it for him along with his pretty consistent pressure to engage despite people calling it stalling but body locks passes aren't a fast pass at all, it wasn't like Pena was working wrestle ups or trying to gain position constantly even when Nick laid down like Pena towards the end multiple times Pena just stayed there forcing nick to engage again because Pena refused to get up and play top game... The omoplata was never close as it was rolled out of very fast and those guillotines are just an annoyance to create an opening or panic more than anything.
@Lockdown335
@Lockdown335 Жыл бұрын
@@oldironsides4107 "Stalled" hahahahahaha "You don't win scrambles" So if you have a position like Nicks awkward bodylock pass to not quite side control which forced Pena to invert out in order to avoid his guard being passed "fully" and nick scramble to back control..... he lost? dumb way of looking at things lol sure you "lost control" but the opponent never regained control either and you won a superior position from the scramble. You have no valid points as to why Pena won over Nick other than scrambles being "Unwinnable" which is kind of just pointless to say unless applied to specific examples.

If there is going to be a judge decision, then why not just implement a scoring system instead? Scoring benefits the athletes so they actually know what the judges care about. I believe that 1 point per sub attempt is all that is needed to convince the athletes to attack and know what is required to get the win in the case of no submission. 🙏🙏🙏

this is an opinion from a person who's jiu jitsu knowledge doesn't go past mma in other words very basic entry-level jiu jitsu knowledge with that disclaimer my thought on the match was that Nick was the clear winner bc it seemed at least to me that he was the one pushing the action and initiating the encounters the whole match and Felipe was just laying on the mat defending and complaining to the referee granted he got Nicks back and that front headlock for acouple of secs but to me it seemed like Nicks knee/ankle/foot locks were alot more deeper but then again as i stated the only reason i know a bit about jiu jitsu is bc of mma so my opinion could totally be wrong and Pena was dominating the whole match
