I think it’s because he’s trying to sell instructionals, and tapping him in 20 seconds to a leg lock isn’t anything new, and something everybody is already fully aware that Gordon could do at will. Jimenez’ weakness is legs, so tapping him with it wouldn’t be that impressive.

That is a lot of confidence, it looked like he gave up on the foot lock at the beginning just because he didn't want to win THAT fast, then when his opponent escaped the first arm bar because he was trying to be nice and allow some time to tap then instead of taking the next submission opportunity that came he purposely fought his way back to the same armbar position and made sure to not let him escape that time

@@mikegillivee3623 It’s a great move because the arm is in position for the gift wrap back take that him and Craig Jones love to do. So angling to avoid being smashed ends up killing you. Turning towards the gift wrap side is what I have to remember.

I recognised how good it is before seeing Gordon because people were doing it to me. Now I avoid doing it to my training partners (unless they are significantly larger than me so have a strong advantage in getting me off of themselves) because it just makes for a miserable time for them.

not really. I think the kade match showed some realy techincal deficiencies Jimenez has beyond physicality, and gord's 99kg+ bracket runs shows how he's still dominant versus a heavier opponent. Sure, if it went down to "talent" jimenez might win this with his athleticism, but that's not fair. If we went by "hard work and current skillset", gord wins this easy. Let's not forget that jimenez is vulnerable to leglocks and the only reason this match went as long as it did was because Gord was selling DVDs for his upper body attack system at the time.
