Chloe is very likable and well spoken. I can see why brands are lining up to work with her. Though she is an elite athlete, she is a human being like all of us...that was the message I got. As for the questions asked by the Chinese reporters....kind of weird to ask what Chloe thought of their Olympic athletes (2 snowboarders and Eileen).

I was glad he asked. For one, it revealed through her responses that friendships have no border and we can come together through our love of sports. Second, it adds more depth and background stories around the sport as athletes working together and share experiences and pushing the sport. Third, I was curious when Chloe hugged Eileen after her gold medal run and wondered if they were close. Chloe's response about their close relationships dating back to when Eileen was 15 and deciding on Olympic decision and Chloe's own perspective on choosing the country to represent were all interesting as both are in the same boat deciding in their respective country.

Why are you so upset about Gu? Just because she wants to represent another side of her heritage? Something like 23% of all basket ball players are born and raised in other countries and go to the US. Similar number for baseball and even higher % for hockey. Americans never bring that up when it suits them..and it suits them most of the time. The odd time someone goes the other way you become so very upset. Your ego is so fragile. Let me ask you..over the past 2 years when when Asian Americans were getting beaten up and killed, motivated by hate for Chinese people, did the white majority stop them?
