Full Self-Improvement Guide What is procrastination? Procrastination is often a product of fear of failure, the fear of not living upto the hopes of ourselves. We feel stressed to perform well because we care so deeply about what we do that we create high expectations for ourselves which end up causing anxiety because we are not sure we can meet those expectations. We become so afraid of not succeeding that we put off the thing we really need to get done until the panic sets in, and ironically, we end up doing a rush job that we are not really proud of. NOTE: Positive procrastination is still procrastination How to avoid procrastination? Step 1: Acknowledge your fear Step 2: Establish your ‘Why?’ Step 3: Remove all distractions Step 4: Take immediate action How to stop overthinking & overcome self-doubt? Step 1: Change the way we think about our goals (big chunks instead of tiny pieces) Step 2: Remember that other people are mostly interested in themselves Step 3: Try meditation Step 4: Let the buzz of thoughts in your head out onto a page Step 5: If you can’t journal, talk out loud Step 6: Embrace your self-doubt Step 7: Take action right away Step 8: Repeat, Repeat, Repeat (Self-Doubt Vs Self-Confidence) How to stop losing focus? Step 1: Prepare before you begin Step 2: Write out your to-do list the night before Step 3: Make sure you get enough sleep Step 4: Choose a time to work when you’ll be at your most energized Step 5: Find the right place to work Step 6: Have a clean work space Step 7: Turn off distracting electronics Step 8: Do some breathing exercises & look over to-do list Step 9: Have a healthy snack & drink nearby Step 10: Turn on calming sounds in the background Step 11: Hours & Hours of focused work is unrealistic How to stop feeling anxious about starting something new? Fear, anxiety, nervousness are fundamental aspects of life. Our mind tries to protect us by imagining al the horrible possibilites. However, when we let fear control our decisions we can miss out on massive opportunities, growth and potential happiness. Step 1: Acknowledge it Step 2: Accept the possibility of failure Step 3: Don’t pursue success - purse learning Step 4: Replace your anxiety with something else Step 5: Cultivate ignorance How to master consistency to achieve your goals? Step 1: Make a plan (with details) Step 2: Create Milestones Step 3: Actually make time for your goals Step 4: Only worry about the present moment Step 5: Stop negotiating with yourself Step 6: Revisit your goals often Step 7: Forgive your failures.... and then keep going Step 8: Do it anyway How to build self-discipline? Step 1: Meditation Step 2: Just work for 15 minutes Step 3: Do it everyday Step 4: Break the task into small pieces and do the first thing Step 5: Countdown from 10 Step 6: Make really good friends who will hold you accountable Step 7: Have a consistent life How to build & develop resilience? Step 1: Be proactive (Don’t let problems fester & grow) Step 2: Protect your downtime Step 3: Change your problem about adversity Step 4: Build relationships Step 5: Focus on the present Step 6: Know that life isn’t fair Step 7: Stay flexible Step 8: Focus on what you can change Step 9: Be grateful Step 10: Practice resilience in the wild How to make yourself study when you don’t have any motivation? Step 1: Remember why you study Step 2: Prepare your environment Step 3: Change locations Step 4: Get a study partner or use ‘Study with me’ videos Step 5: Make studying a game Step 6: Make your notes pretty Step 7: Create a cheat sheet Step 8: Just do the first thing How to keep going (Even when you don’t see any results)? Step 1: Set yourself a re-evaluation date Step 2: Reframe all setbacks & failures as learning experiences Step 3: Focus on enjoying what you do Step 4: Celebrate every milestone Remember that there are lot of things happening under the surface you are not aware of. With consistency & time, you will see results. How to study for exams (Evidence based tips)? Active recall is the practice of retrieving information from your brain. Flash cards, Spaced repetition, Interleaving are recommended. Rereading is not as effective as everyone think. How to get out of a rut, fast? Acknowledge that ‘You are not fine’. Approach your rut like an addiction. Remember that ‘Motivation follows Action’. How to plan your week effectively? “Track the Past, order the Present and design the Future” Step 1: Take a mental inventory & consider each task individually Step 2: Time boxing Step 3: Morning reflection Step 4: Evening reflection Step 5: Celebrate

The key to overcoming fear, procrastination, self-doubt, and achieving success is to embrace anxiety, focus on the first steps, master consistency, build resilience, and use active recall techniques while acknowledging emotions and using productivity tools. 🎬 Changing from a reactive to an active approach to watching horror movies helped overcome fear; 📝 Procrastination is caused by fear and anxiety, but acknowledging it, establishing a "why," and removing distractions can help overcome it. 00:00 🌊 Despite clear maps and favorable conditions, the crew of a sea voyaging vessel mutinies due to self-doubt and disbelief in the existence of the island and their worthiness of the riches. 07:41 🚀 Embrace your anxiety, accept failure, focus on the first steps, and master consistency to achieve success in your new venture. 23:30 🎯 Mastering consistency is key to achieving goals, and it requires self-discipline, forgiveness, and focusing on the emotions that motivated you to set the goal in the first place. 34:18 💪 Build resilience by changing your mindset, practicing healthy habits, and being proactive in fixing problems. 47:39 📚 Studying can be beneficial for maintaining grades, avoiding retaking classes, and making new connections to topics of interest, so regain motivation by removing distractions, changing locations, getting a study partner, utilizing KZbin "study with me" videos, turning studying into a game, creating artful notes and cheat sheets, and taking the first step. 56:43 🎯 Set re-evaluation dates, reframe setbacks, celebrate milestones, and turn goals into games to achieve success; use active recall techniques like flashcards and practice tests for effective learning. 01:05:23 💪 Acknowledge your emotions, break dopamine addiction, take small actions, and use Ryder Carroll's bullet journal system to get out of a rut and increase productivity. Feeling stuck in a rut is common, but having a positive attitude and mindset is crucial for breaking out of it and maintaining good study habits. To get out of a rut, acknowledge that you are not fine and create emotional impetus to force yourself forward by realizing that humans are ruled by emotions. Dopamine addiction can cause us to become addicted to easy activities like using our phones or playing games, but we can break the addiction by gradually removing the source of dopamine and taking action to gain motivation. Take small actions and reward yourself, listen to inspirational speakers or music, switch up your environment, be patient and gentle with yourself, and focus on moving forward to get out of a rut. Ryder Carroll's bullet journal system, described in his book The Bullet Journal Method, offers tips for effective weekly planning, including taking a mental inventory of tasks to accomplish. To recover from decision fatigue and increase productivity, write down all tasks for the week, prioritize them, use time blocking, reflect in the morning and evening, and celebrate accomplishments. 01:21:06

MOVE FOWARD AND REMOVE YOUR FEARS AND DONT AVOID WHAT YOU HAVE TO DO BECAUSE WHAT YOU GET OUT OF THE WAY WILL SAVE YOU IN THE FUTURE❤LEARNING A NEW LANGUAGE LIKE SPANISH IS BRAVE BUT WHILE LEARNING IT IS IMPORTANT TO TAKE BREAKS, TURN OFF PHONE, LISTENING TO RELAXING MUSIC AND EATING HEALTHY WILL REFRESH YOURSELF AND HELP YOU TO ACCOMPLISH YOUR GOAL! DONT BE HARD ON YOUR SELF YOUR ONLY HUMAN, IT'S OK THE IMPORTANT THING IS TO COMPLETE THE GOAL! ❤
