The dishwasher filters are insanely disgusting! Definitely google your specific model for info and step by step directions. In my current dishwasher, I can clean the filter really easily so do it all the time!

Speaking of Customer No-Service...the other day I spent a total of 7 HOURS on hold waiting to speak to a representative (3 separate calls, each more than 2 hours long!) regarding a refund on a double payment that happened with my student loan repayment. The first time I got through, the representative hung up on me. The second time I had to hang up after 2 hours because I had a meeting to get to, and then the 3rd time I finally got through and barely got my issue resolved. The only thing that actually got resolution for me was listening to Clark and filing a complaint with the BBB

Being a grammar/spelling nerd, I have to say that your grammar is 99% better than most people I hear on a daily basis. And if you are uncertain about something you say so. Most people don't have a clue. Keep uo the good work Clark.

Speaking of cartel fees, what is your opinion of companies charging “service” fees back to their customers when they use a credit card to purchase? It used to be illegal for companies to charge a customer such fees, now it is not and I am seeing many charges to me of this sort.
@Michelle-bw1xg

I'm finding this too. I don't frequent restaurants but found this at the DMV (!!!) and the car mechanic/dealership. I wasn't prepared with cash in these cases so unfortunately had to pay more to use my card.
@Clark
@Clark Жыл бұрын
Clark fully supports businesses passing on these fees to the customer, as long as it's explicitly stated. It's a huge expense for businesses and erodes their profits. The blame is not on the business; the blame is on the Visa and Mastercard cartel for charging enormous fees. So we, as consumers, have a decision to make. Do we pay with a credit card and pay the fee (if your rewards offset the fee)? Or do we pay with another form of payment (may not be practical, but avoids the fee)? That's each individual's decision to make. 💚

RE: Tuitions, more colleges need to follow what Purdue University has managed to do, they have "frozen tuition" since 2012!! From 2012-2016 it was cheaper for our son to attend there as an out of state student than here in CA, especially given the continual tuition increases at California colleges which in many students could not always get a required class completed without having to do an additional year. So in considering doing a type of college financial plan be sure to consider such factors as well.

Your grammar is part of your image. Don't change a thing.
@tc6935

Agreed don't change a thing. English has been a flawed and broken language since the very beginning. They are English rules but sometimes they are exceptions to the rule, they are words that sound the same but are spelled different. The comedian Gallagher did a bit about the English language making no sense. It's on KZbin if anyone wants to see.

Also, depending on what field you work in, knowing "slang" or common language is very useful. In most of America (if not all), not many people speak "proper".

😲😲😲 Almost 4 hours!?!? That's taking the "efficient" out of efficiency dishwashers.
@tc6935

My dish washer is the same because I put it on heavy duty with extra dry boost which makes the dishes come out perfect. I don't care about efficiency, I care about clean/ dry dishes while I'm doing something else or while sleeping. Priceless..lol.

Hi Clark, from a fellow flake! with regards to dishwashers, "experts" recommend not rinsing dishes before washing. However, the large chunks need to be removed. the enzymatic detergents need something to cling to. Otherwise, they don't work as effectively and will build up in your dishwasher too! I can't say I have personal experience with this, but most I know, who used to rinse, don't rinse anymore. Just remove the large chunks and maybe sticky cheese that's difficult to remove

Please don't let the grammar police change you. This is such a common social media response that quite frankly is to make someone feel better than...this is a non formal educational program...more important things to protect a young child from in our society

Create different LLC's and put your cars in one and your home (s) in their own LLC and of course insure them but then if you have a liability claim they can only go after what the LLC owns and they can't get any of your other assets.

My first time watching Clark he used the word 'buggy' and I was hooked. I had not heard that slang term for shopping cart since I was a kid. So, endearing. I am a college professor and Clark's loose use of English grammar doesn't bother me at all. This is not a language learning channel. Sorry, but I disagree with Diego's stink claim.

Plumbers will tell you to ALWAYS pre-rinse. I was also told not to use vinegar because it makes the plastics brittle over time. Just repeating what my plumber contractors have shared with us throughout the years.
@TulsaDude
@TulsaDude Жыл бұрын
The plastics of the dishwasher components or the actual dishes? The listener was referring to running a "clean" cycle by using a bowl of vinegar after cleaning out the filter. Not with the actual dishes.

We are in our 70s. When flying to visit kids or grandkids for a week or two, we get around checking our bags by shipping our bags (including sealed toiletries) FedEx Ground about 2 weeks before we travel. Then, drop off the return FedEx bags at the closest drop-off location on our way to the airport. This is not only easier but is often cheaper as well.

If it's several days or more between washes, I'd think it would start to smell if you didn't give your dishes at least a quick rinse. I must say your show covers a lot of bases. Great as always!
