It's hard to believe there are that many of these stories out there and I'm sure some of them are fake, and frankly, if you have a family like mine, it's hard to believe they're even true. However, finding out that some of my friends' families are genuinely not proud of their children no matter how impressive they are, or how hard they've worked, it doesn't surprise me that some parents actually do this. I could never imagine doing this to my children.

There is a few ways for how to see if it's AI generated. Generally just look for them repeating anything that was alredy stated several times and has no reason to be repeated like that, things that are very often same for stories like "We met at a cafe in the next town" which is in huge part of AI generated stories but easiest is to look for how many words that no one really uses, such as long, scientific or archaic versions of normal words and those words you'll usually only see in books

My mom & dad had 10kids.. There treated all of us the same; so it's hard for me to believe there are so many crappy parents out there too.. But I've know some people who's parents were just horrible; so sadly I believe this story..

I'd say 95% or more were fake - straight from the "creative writing for the terminally deluded" class. They've flooded KZbin with BS like this and it's the thin end of the wedge; KZbin is heading straight for the gurgler!

"Unfair that the OP got an equal share.." Yeah, this proves that the father doesn't deserve his inheritance at all. I am very glad the grandfather did what he did, and now he is getting what he deserve. The father's claiming it is "their money" with the father's own siblings are against them screams volumes. What is really telling is that "Amy," who clearly is an unremarkable individual, is the "favored child" is very disturbing, and something that absolutely telling in a way. That anyone in the family sided with the father at all for any time is clearly based on gaslighting and projection, which the parents got away with for far too long. "Amy" actually realizing how wrong her parents had been, though, and them not letting their own daughter "do anything for herself" really is a nauseating proof that the father is really the person who is the villain in all of that. He blatantly is a sociopath and narcissist, and I have no doubt the OP and "Amy's" mother is going to eventually divorce him. Lastly, whether or not this specific story is real or not.. it is clearly inspired for real events that have happened very similar. A controlling, narcissistic parent is becoming a all to more common thing than it should. *_All children deserve parents.. but not all "parents" deserve children._*

Wow, that’s such a hurtful situation. It’s sad when parents play favorites, especially when it comes to something as serious as inheritance. You deserve to be treated equally and with respect, and it’s disappointing that they tried to take away what was meant for you. Standing up for yourself was absolutely the right thing to do. Hopefully, this made them realize the impact of their actions and that all their children deserve fairness. Thanks for sharing this story-it’s a powerful reminder to stand up for what’s right, even when it’s hard!

Amy wasn't too afraid to speak up, she was gaining another half a million so of course she wouldn't say anything.

No no no. Amy isnt saying anything because she stands to gain from it, not her not wanting to he involved. Amy knows what she is doing.

I love watching these stories about family drama, especially the ones about favoritism and unfairness, mostly because that’s how my family is. My family has so much drama and me and my sister in directly in the middle of all of it. This video was particularly deep for me because I have seen so many of these stories but I haven’t seen one where (most of) the family is trying to reconcile. I also can sympathize with the younger sister because I happen to be the favorite in my family and I hate it. It isn’t as severe as this but there are some little things here and there that show it. Trust me older/forgotten siblings, sometimes the grass ain’t greener on the other side. Now sometimes people are straight up spoiled and are dramatic but if your in the situation I’m in you’ll be surprised at how bad it actually is

Family harmony isn't backing one child over another. It's their fault for spoiling their youngest. It's nice to see that the siblings made up.

Skipped halfway through. I can't stand any parents having golden child. If any POS parents have a golden childs then let someone else adopt the other child because apparently these parents are doing a shitty job being parents.

i really enjoyed this video, it was really well made and kept me engaged throughout. but honestly, i can't help but feel that it's a bit unfair for your parents to choose favorites when it comes to inheritance. shouldn't it be evenly split? it’s a tough situation, but i think fairness should always come first, don't you?
