I never heard the last part. It's nice to know he got to be a grandfather.

I would never forgive the son ever.

I'm glad he was able to though. But it was because his son initiated the reconciliation and admitted he was wrong. Then he demonstrated a change in behavior

Shows how much of a shitty person you are

I agree what they did was beyond forgiveness. But given he has no other family I can understand why he did. Being old and alone is horrifying. Youd be surprised what people overlook to maintain family bonds

I’m glad everything worked out in the end. It’s something that I’ve heard far to often, “trust is hard to earn but easily broken”

I agree. That is a guilt that should be brought up in counciling: "For your homework, I want you two to walk through your home and look at the details, the imperfections, the size, the yard, the potential... I want you to look at everything, consider what you did to the husband's childhood home, and ask yourselves if it was all worth kiIIing your whole family to get. Cause that's the cost the wife's parents saved you from, a cost that no sorry could ever undo." Is it pouring salt in the wound? Yes. But I think that's the only way those two could ever find absolution.

The OP's decision to forgive his own son and daughter in law must have took a lot of moral fortitude to do so but it worked and they're a little bit more civil with each other, that's a good thing for now and the OP can be a good grandpa as well.

He can sell his share but not OPs share. That's not how it works. You can get a court order to sell and split but one person can decide it's getting sold when the other owner is not signing off on it.

_Spongiforma Squarepantsii_ Latinization of Squarepants, is a new species of fungus in the family Boletaceae under the genus Spongiforma. Discovered in 2010, the people who found it named it SpongeBob SquarePants because it looked like SpongeBob, it even acted like a sponge! When zoomed in, the spore-bearing surface looks like it has mini pineapples on it, hence the name. When they tried to publish their findings, they were denied because the name was "Too frivolous".
