Hello my friend! I've been living and traveling in this Four Wheel Campers Hawk Truck Camper. This is an ideal truck camper if you're looking for something that's low profile when driving around, great for off roading and accessing remote locations, and easy and cozy to pop up and sleep in at the end of the day.

@@DrHannahStraight Yes, the extra "Storage" is KEY!!!.. I rented a Sprinter camper one time at Glacier National Park. It was nice but it lacked storage. The cabinets were full of bedding and cooking stuff and I had to pile my things on the passenger seat and in front of it. Fortunately I was traveling alone so it was OK but I came home to VT and started looking for an Airstream and a Ford F150. That was pretty good but I think I like your set-up even better!!!

I’m coming in a year after the fact here, but I enjoyed the camper tour. In 1973 I almost got a job at a local RV dealer, but all those people did was jerk me around. Then the oil embargo happened. So much for the RV business.

The website says that these start at $20K (not counting the truck, of course.) $20K seems very reasonable for everything you get. Of course, Hannah has several options. Those may add $5-10K to the price. The camper can even go on a 1/2 ton truck, so you basically could get a pretty nice house for under $100K. Nice.

These are solidly built with the best components. The only weak element is the thermostat at 9:38. It can easily be bumped and damaged. Always keep a spare on a hand. You can order a second optional fan for ventilation ( strongly recommended). I was worried that the bed would not support the weight of two good size people, but it very strong and comfortable. I just used an open sleeping bag with with a foot box for sleeping. North-south is the way for a couple to sleep. The steps at 0:44 can be pulled into the camper after you at the very end of the day to get into and particularly out of the bed easily for the older crowd. This adds to the stealthiness of the set-up. Popping the camper up is easy. If I had to get out of the emergency exit window 5:38 with any speed, I would probably die.

Watching this with my kids. At one point I'm trying to watch the great review on a camper option, and trying not to notice the camera angles/yoga pants. -my 8 year old son yells out " look at the butt!" - I was horrified and relieved at the same time. OK, getting past the " wow, how pretty you are" my real question is, what is a base price for one of these pop up pick up truck campers? They do seem like they are a perfect size for 1 or 2 people, who don't mind simple camping, with the occasional off grid type of camping. Thanks for the post, I thought it was well done, and showed everything needed about the camper, other than the price. Perhaps the empty weight as well, so I would know how big of a truck would be needed to carry it.
