This type of architecture was called "Storybook Homes" built in the 1920's, this example is one of the more extravagant examples I've seen. Most are gone now, and I would imagine someday this one will be also. Thanks for getting a video history for all of us to enjoy.
@LadyDragonsblood5 жыл бұрын
I think this and the "Witch House" are about the only two prime examples of "Storybook Homes" left in such wonderful shape (I am sure there are others, but I mean in this nearly perfect condition). I hope this one never gets torn down. I would live there in a heartbeat. "Storybook" architecture is my favorite next to Art Deco.

You can own it for a cool $1.7 million. Not bad when you consider the location, house & history. The previous owner bought it and everything inside it for $180,000 in 1983. The items inside would fetch that much now. What a successful investment that was.

Doing a little internet investigating (as I have read others have commented also) I would have to guess that the house belonged to Joel Schiller, artist, and painter of the Muppets who passed away 1/17/2017 at 86 years of age, and the house was being sold because he passed, I am not sure but this is what I gather from context.
