@@fullcustomIan I've always held that if someone wants to see a factory original, ground-up restoration, seek out a good museum. Unless it's an extremely unique, one-of-a-kind, rare example - go ahead and make it what ever you like! Have fun! Take the road less traveled and express yourself. Life is short - enjoy the adventure. I love y'alls videos! You compliment one another! Keep it going!!

Jamies comment about the Black Widow, behind the toilet made me smile, a little. One of our, now departed, C & W singers, Slim Dusty, was bitten by a Red Back spider in a country outdoor toilet. The red back is Australias widow spider. The song is called, funny enough, "the Redback on the Toilet Seat". It will give you a smile if you get it up on youtube.

I can remember camping trip on the current river right by Blue Springs I just turned 16 years old and he let me drive the Jeep over to the Gravel Bar where we primitive Camp right on the river Grandparents Jeep and cabin are all gone but the memories will last forever. I really enjoy watching the videos. You can feel the vibe that they are real and show how much time and effort plus mistakes that it takes to build. One of the things I cant stand is some of the other supposed "reality" build shows. They bring in a complete wreck of a project and try to get the viewer to believe they can actually have it ready for a major auction in three weeks.

Hi Ian and Jamie...Jamie your jeep project takes me back , we always had jeeps back in my high school days ! Fairly simple , reliable , parts were still fairly cheap and accessible. Ian , I don't know if this helps , but when I had to do a T 90 cluster gear replacement , I discovered International Scout used the same T 90. So clusters were the same in both. That cluster gear ( as I remember was full of needle bearings. We had to grease them up an insert a dowel of the same diameter. Then dropped it in the trans. case , and drive the shaft threw while driving the dowel out the other side. Shaft ran past the inside of case which held it in position. Don't know if that information helps , but thought I'd pass along. Thank You both for the videos , so much enjoyed !!

Back in 1991-92 I saw a ufo flying over the San Pablo bay about 10pm then it shot over the Golden gate bridge hooverd over the bridge then shot back over the San Pablo bay. I had to wake my mother to see what I was looking at. She told me to go to bed. I kept looking at it for a little while then went in the house. The very next day a few of my friends came over telling me they saw a ufo flying over the San Pablo bay. That they had drove to the wrecking yards to flash the headlights of the car at it. I didn't tell them that I saw the same thing until I heard there accounts of it first. Then Monday morning radio show reported it's official that a UFO was spotted over the Golden gate bridge. I was glade that other's seen it. It was over the Golden gate bridge so I knew people had to have seen what I was seeing. I thought I was losing my mind at first. Never seen anything like it ever since and I do look up at the sky at night.

Just wanted to let the two of you know i just finished watching the 9 Jeep CJ2A episodes. I had watched them previously but they were out of order and I had to search for them! Only found the first 8 that time. Then i found the 9 videos together. I found them most enjoyable. It's fun watching the two of you interact and get so much done. I'm in agreement with all you've done with one exception. I think bigger tires add to the appearance of the finished product. I'm not talking gigantic. Just bigger. It's always a good idea to remove the only little bit of buffer zone between the bumper (first to impact everything) & vital components like suspension, steering box, etc to almost guarantee that you can't make it back home without walking or a ride🤔. For me I prefer a vehicle to bring me back home safely.
