General Raven was the one who Mustang thought he could trust and told rumor about Führer being Homunculus, but Raven happened to be taking part in the Father/King's plans. Gold-Toothed Alchemist that treated Kimblee was in the group of doctors who turned Bradley into Homunculus. They are minor villains but still involved in the main plot.

@@AstralBelt I've seen both versions of the show multiple times, read the manga, and named my youngest son Edward, after Mr. Elric himself. I was paying plenty of attention. Before Mustang goes into the government building to talk to Raven, he talks about how dangerous what he was about to do was. Just before he finally goes in the door, Hawkeye says "Happy Hunting". He never trusted Raven. He told the general all that crap to get on his good side so he would trust him. Sometimes what people say isn't the same as what they mean, folks.

I honestly thought you were saying "wrong" to them being "minor villains but still involved in the main plot". Also, watching the 2003 anime means nothing, so I don't know why saying you watched "both versions" means anything. You can't take what is from the 2003 version and apply it to the manga or Brotherhood.

To me, I've always thought of Alchemy and alkahestry as Yin and Yang, you might not understand why now, but maybe later you will. I've always understood alchemy and alkahestry like 2 side of a coin. Basically alchemy uses the earth as a medium to draw power for transmutation and alkahestry uses the body as a meduim. Thats why I thought that Al and Ed couldn't use their alchemy when Father stomped on the ground he disabled the ability to use earth as the medium of energy to draw power (from where ever the power comes from) for transmutation. Where as Mei was able to transmute as she uses her body as the medium of energy that draws power. Thats why i also feel like Alkahestry is used more for healing and such, as the power is drawn through the body.

Fawzan Khan I thought alchemy in Amestris was only supposed to use the power of the Earth, but was actually using the power of Father, that's why later on when they learn to actually use the power of the Earth, their alchemy is so much more powerful, and why he could control their ability so easily. it's been a while since I checked that, I could be wrong.

Commander Grumman, the guy who dressed up like an old woman to talk to Mustang in disguise, was demoted to being Mustang's superior in the Eastern Command because he refused "immortal soldiers". He explained at Maes' grave that he thought immortal soldier proposition was ridiculous and impossible and said so. Therefore his military career was derailed and he didn't make it past general.

Grumman is actually one of the highest ranked officers. I don't remember what is his rank exactly but he is a general with two stars on his shoulders, which is more than easily half of the single staff with Bradley ... that's why he became the Fuhrer at the end, he was the highest ranked officer still alive. He was transfered to the East to keep him far from the important decisions but that's all.

The "dragon pulse" is the same to the tectonic movement, the problem is normally the alchemist would be using the movement of earth crust, but it's being manipulated by father and making it so that his the source of alchemy.

This is half wrong and half spoiler. The dragon pulse isn't the same, alkahestry does use a different power source even when the alchemists start using actual tectonic energy.

But each homunculus' power is tied to their sin. When your lusting for something, you'll reach out and grab it no matter who you hurt. Hence lust's long finger nails. When your jealous of people and want to be them, that's Envy's shape shifting power. When you wish wrath upon a foe, your eye is constantly watching them. Predicting their moves and looking for a weakness. Pride can be both in the light and hidden in the darkness. A person's pride can overshadow people and bring them down, while also making them stronger. That's why pride has the shadow powers. Gluttony however, can be for anything. Which is why his bottomless stomach and portal makes sense. You could be glutton for punishment or for food, or even attention. So the fact that gluttony can eat anything portrays this fact. When your greedy about something, you want to protect and defend it. Which is why greed has that shield. To keep what he wants and no one else will have it. Sloth's power is in speed. When he's pushed to his limits and doesn't want to take crap anymore. I don't know, Sloth's was the hardest power to connect to for some reason.

Blackrose Revan About Sloth, think of it this way: an incredibly lazy person, if he needs to really do something at the moment and he has no choice, he will accomplish it in the quickest way, with the least effort he could exert ever, because that’s how lazy he is. So Sloth having incredible speed on top of his strength makes sense too. He basically has all the potential, but because he’s lazy, he wastes said potential until he really has no choice (digging the tunnel bacause Pride said so, trying to kill Olivier because he was ordered to).

I personally don't think that FMAB has boring episodes or that the pacing in general is slow (it's actually very fast) but this arc in particular does feel that way because it's pretty much a transition/building up arc, this arc although still entertaining is actually very slow, the characters are traveling from one place to another and then they just stay there for a good while not doing much, sure there is some awesome moments * cough, episode 36 Armstrong and Raven, cough * but they are very little when compared to the amount of action/battles from the previous arc, and the amount of craziness from the last two arcs after this one.
