In case no one's mentioned it yet, here are the post-credits scene episodes for future reference: 6 8 28 29 30 32 33 36 40 42 43 44 46 48 49 54 and be sure to watch through the credits for episode 45! (Love how much you're already loving the show. This is one of those that will stay with you forever.)

Don't worry, there are a lot of hard moments, but this series has a well written story, which pays out in the long run. Just an FYI, some episodes do have plot relevant post credit scenes.

It is normally after seeing someone shellshocked by episode 4 that I mention that FMAB might just be the most optimistic show out there when it comes to the moral possibilities of humans and their societies. The show certainly acknowledges the darkness, but at heart it brings a message of hope.

I did like the bit in the first one where he and Ed first met after Ed resigned though. Scar hoping that Ed would stay out of it was a nice point of connection for when they did meet again under hostile circumstances.

@@TsarDragon It was less tried to be and more had to be. The consequence of creating an anime of an unfinished manga, either you pack it to the brim with filler a la Dragonball Z, Naruto, Bleach, etc. or you take it in a totally new direction. In the case of the OG FMA I think they actually did a pretty good job. Without giving out too many spoilers I will say I liked the twist on the Homonculi's origins and how since the story was on a smaller scale it became a much more personal conflict. Also by making the Shou Tucker/Nina story a 2 episode mini arc they really dug the serrated knife in deeper with that outcome.

@@jeremygilbert7989 reminds me of Gantz, one of the best manga I've read so far with a weak anime adaptation that cuts the source material off right after the prologue of the story (where it ramps up like crazy and gets really good) and ends on a filler conclusion

They really did a great job with this show. It could have gone fully nihilism easily, but they throw in these moments to lighten the mood. Those around Ed and Al always go out of their way to protect them, to try to allow them to keep some type of innocence and niavity about how messed up the world really is, while also trying to give them space enough to grow.

If it makes you feel any better, episode 4 is about as dark as this show gets. That's not to say this show doesn't get dark again, but nothing ever quite reaches that level.

For what it's worth, there are some episodes that have an extra scene at the end, but some just have spoilers for the next episode. If you want to just watch the ones with the extra scene you can probably search up a list of the specific episodes. I think episode 6 or 7 is the first one with an extra scene at the end.

Trust me (Elvish word for Friend in Lord of the Rings), keep with this show. Yes. It will hurt. There are some really painful scenes coming. Especially since Colonel Mustang, The Flame Alchemist, is useless on rainy days. But it is well worth it. The story, the character development, the ending... It is a masterpiece.

I know you might not see this but this show is all about loss and overcoming hardship. It'll make you cry, it'll make you angry, it'll make you shout in joy and celebrate. It is an amazing show but there will be times where you might just need to take an hour or a day doing something else and unwinding. Also there are 20ish episodes that have after credits scenes, I think Ep 6 is the first. A guy commented on episode 1 with the list. Talk to someone, go look at the comment, or just ask and I can 'repost' (and credit the guy) here as a reply or something. Edit: Nothing wrong with liking Talk-no-Jutsu... lots of people failed to grasp that was kind of the whole point in Naruto...
@Sunaki10002 жыл бұрын
Well yes, but it doesnt work if the Arguments arent convincing. Like Gaara just saying some stuff and Onoki imideatly changing his Perspective instead of just underrestimating him, thats just not how old bone headed People act. Naruto had some Problems creating convincing Talk no Jutsus sadly.

Re: was that the Crimson Alchemist? Yes, and if you check there was the Iron Blood Alchemist that Scar killed in the previous episode as well. In fact, the series is good for having little easter eggs like that, background characters & others included all over the place, it's what makes it feel like a more fleshed out & real world.

It amazes me how people reacting to this episode always seem to completely forget that Gluttony ate the real Cornello two episodes ago and think he was Envy the entire time. The Nina thing must really override the ability to remember details from the previous episode. Really the one big pacing issue I have with this version of the story. In the manga and the first anime there was quite a bit of time and a couple more adventures between those two scenes, so you had enough time for his sudden reappearance to be more noteworthy.
