What is the point of turning the back of your car into a ramp?

Rewatch @1:41-@1:46 & this will explain the tire,hub & axle deleting capabilities of the axe bumper aka ramp of destruction. Lots of people dislike this legal way of using the rules to your advantage but that’s how it goes cause you’ll have all kinds in every kind of competitive sport.

@@nathanielsouza312 that was my thought. Guess taking out a tie rod is just as effective (if not more so) as trying to get at the radiator with a higher rear-end. When I derbied (of course stock) we notched the frame just behind the rear-end to make sure our ass end didn't hit the ground. Also to get the rear bumper higher for radiators. This has been 15 years though. Thanks for the answer. It had been bugging me. Lol

@@nathanielsouza312 and I agree. When it comes to building a car (derby, race, or otherwise) you have to figure out ways of bending the rules to get an advantage. You can bet the other drivers are.

Will you be attending riverside riots at the Lawrence county fair in Ohio this year? I haven't been to that one in a couple years hope it's going to be as good or better

You are right. It's not like the good old days where you beat the he'll out of the bodies of the vats and everyone just had a good clean fun night. It's all all who can build a killing tank and do the most damage and not worry if you heart some The sport of racing had changed and its all for the blood and money.
