The bike only sat for a year? That's only a small nap for a Honda, but boy was she a cruddy one! I recently acquired an older Honda motorcycle from my father and it's been sitting since he parked it in 2004. My friend tinkered on it, blasted some two-stroke mix into the cylinders and it fired off. His response was "I'm not surprised, it IS a Honda after all." :)
@FULLTHROTTLEFILMZ3 жыл бұрын
Haha yeh just a nap for this Honda, that is awesome so cool you got that bike running again. These old Hondas just last forever
@Slane5833 жыл бұрын
@@FULLTHROTTLEFILMZ Indeed. It also helps my father stored it in a small out building he uses for holding extra stuff for his fuel trucks. Luckily the worst we had to deal with was a lot of dust, some signs of mouse activity and a small mouse motel. My friend thought it was going to be stuck from sitting. But he hooked a jumper pack to it and it turned over. So we lucked out. It fires off every time with a few squirts of mixed gas. Sadly the stock carbs are stuck from old gas varnish. So I'm just going to get some new replacements. She'll be ready for the road next summer. :)

Great series! Just picked up a mostly original XR200R and planning on doing the rebuilds seen in your videos. You’re very meticulous and outcome is fantastic. I’m looking for paint for the swing arm but the paint I tried is too light. Yours appeared to match much better. Can you state what paint you actually used. I didn’t see color and brand in your separate swing arm prep and paint video. Thanks!
@FULLTHROTTLEFILMZ2 жыл бұрын
Thanks so much I honestly dont remember the brand or color but I found it at an autozone so they should have a color like this! Good luck with your build any questions just send me a comment

Where would you recommend looking for cheap dirt bikes/ATVs that can be restored? I live in a suburban area where there is only cheap Chinese things or 7,000 dollar racing quads. I even tried looking around the rural areas on offerup and found nothings.
@FULLTHROTTLEFILMZ3 жыл бұрын
They are getting harder and harder to find man. This one was bought from usa to mexico in parts a long time ago. Best bet is to keep checking out in the country for someone selling one. A good old barn find.
