Even a diesel people mover Transit in Europe was fun to drive thanks for the stick shift. Had it been an automatic, I would've hated every single mile of that.

aluisious because your average person takes relaxed shifts and the revs not dropping immediately helps smoothen it out. Especially if you are a new manual driver or just not used to the car. For example the problem they have in the video is when they are ripping gears. The car isn't designed to do that. Also this is most definitely not a sports car, just a normal Sentra lol

We've had our 2021 Sentra SR Manual since last week. One thing I've learned on my own is the car has an Eco button that stops the rev hang. It keeps the RPMs down, thus making the car react like a "normal" manual. The drive quality and fun is even better with that Eco button on! Go figure.

black rims look fantastic on this. bring back the specV, Nissan- bigger, louder, with an LSD. But really in all honesty, this car is best value for money in a 4 door. And that 3rd pedal completes the package- why people tolerate CVT's is beyond me. I even built one on the Nissan site after watching this video.

The doors don't lock until 15 mph so if you put it in reverse to leave and then forget something, it'll stay unlocked. I'm a Nissan Technician

Another thing I've noticed: newer stick cars come with REALLY HEAVY flywheels for NVH at cruise and to help people get moving from a stop, but it really makes smooth shifting hard.. Give us light flywheels and let the noobs learn the right way to drive.

The 2002 Sentra SE-R spec-v had 175 hp, and this one only has 149??? It’s evolving, only backwards.

I agree that they could do so much better but in their defense this is an SR, not an SE-R spec V.

yeah and even my 1993 SE-R would put this to shame with its LSD and much lower weight...

@@wtfx5757 the 93 SE-R was one of the coolest cars ever.

@@wtfx5757 I think I've only ever seen one SE-R from that generation in person and it was nice. They must be rare. I miss when they were lighter like that.

This car isn't meant to be a souped up version of the sentra( unlike the se-r ), it's just a bit peppier.

That slow shifting is like how my manual chevy cruze shifts.
