What an awesome group of guys. They are “elite” but more importantly they are runners just like the rest of us. They haven’t forgotten that. Cannot help but love those guys. 🏃🏻♂️💨

Great video! I love seeing the elite of the sport rub shoulders with us dedicated but much slower runners. It's good for everyone. Good luck in South Africa!

So I forgot during the course of the video that this was a VO2 video and not a Tin Man video. Very well done

That is pretty awsome to see these guys having these incredible fast times. Makes us think that hard trainning can makes us having better results.

Thanks for the video. Since l live in Japan, I can’t participate in the Tinman fan run, but thanks to you, I was able to feel the atmosphere.

Humbling... These guys are so fast. I try to do my best but at my age it would be delusional to think I could reach that level in this lifetime. Thank you for letting us get a glimpse of this world for those who never will! Train hard and crush your next race for us! 😁

Sage.... I think it’s about time you join Tinman Elite!! You need a change!
@Vo2maxProductions5 жыл бұрын
I'm too slow to join the group! The Boulder based guys are mainly a track only group....800m-10km (some run the half). It takes at least sub 13:50 5km credentials (or sub 4:00-mile /3:43 for 1500m)....which I'm obviously not that speedy (my 5km best in college was only 14:29)! There are other guys (like Colby) who are looking to OTQ in the marathon (and/or have already run 2:17/2:18 marathons) that would probably be better for me to jump in workouts with though!

At first I have read fun group run, and I thought it would be a video with you running with average day runners :D Than I noticed Tinman Elite, and their best times.

I really enjoy CV interval sessions. My 10k time improved dramatically when I started running them, and I didn't have to reduce my training workload to accommodate them.
@bryanurizar5 жыл бұрын
topoisomerace What’s CV interval training?
@topoisomerace5 жыл бұрын
@@bryanurizar Google "Tinman critical velocity intervals". They are 3-4 minute efforts @ a pace between threshold and 5k pace, with approximately 1 minute rests. They build stamina while also being fast enough to help develop 5k/10k speed without wearing you down too much.

So should we use CV pace training now more in stead of threshold and vo2max ?
@Vo2maxProductions5 жыл бұрын
It's a subtle pace/intensity. Most people have trouble finding their exact threshold pace so it might end up around CV anyway (especially if they go harder than LT). I mean if you are a 34-min 10km runner it is 10km pace about exactly. If you are a 28-min guy it is more like 12km race pace. Jack Daniels would call it "cruise intervals"...1km-1600m repeats with a short rest somewhere around 10km race pace. Some workouts cross the over from Tempo/LT to Vo2max (negative split 1km repeats with a short rest or even some timed-interval fartlek workouts). It's nothing new or revolutionary and I think it helps 1500m-5km runners probably the most.
