My pt here in MA has been doing dry needling on my shoulders for almost a year now i find it very helpful and continue to go for it

I'm happy you're getting great results. F the haters who think Acupuncturists do a better job.

" using an alcohol swab to make sure everything is super sterile" then touches with non- sterile gloves?? While rectus does act as a hip flexor I can understand needling that but not the VL. I don't like this technique.

I myself practice e dry needling within functional movement framework. I also get the same results. this is the real deal.

This seems kind of fake. I dont think homegirl's hip flexors were that tight to began with and she purposedly held her knee in place for sake of the video!!!! There should be an investigation
@twinnydb5 жыл бұрын
I would agree with exactly what you've said. My first impression was that the patient was clearly holding her hip in a flexed position! The only time I've seen a hip held in that amount of flexion was due to an actual hip flexion contracture. This video is a load of rubbish
@davidhamilton98715 жыл бұрын
Facts. She was never that tight. When she goes to put her leg down the 2nd time. She hesitates in the same position and then lets her legs down. Dont let this dude stab you with needles.

David Hamilton It actually does help. My soleus muscle was very tender from over use and I couldn’t run on it. When I got functional dry needling the muscle calmed down/reset and it isn’t very tender anymore. It is way easier to run now. Bare in mind it was tender for over a month as the regular PT wasn’t working. Then a couple days after I had functional dry needling it’s now 90% better then what it was after a month of regular PT.

I don't think I'd do it. I have neuropathy and fibromyalgia. Recently my neurologist did an emg test on me along with a nerve condunction test. Man if I had known how much making those muscles jump was going to wear me out, I felt liked I'd ran a marathon the next day, I'm not sure I would have done it. But it was necessary so yeah. But I don't have to do dry needling, so nope. lol

I had EMG testing also - I have a high pain tolerance, but it was escrustiating - very painful. The technician saw that my nerves were very sensitive so the doctor performed only a portion of the NCS. I bled, and bruised up - the pain was so bad the following week it would wake me up. I understand many people have little pain, with no issues afterwards fortunately. I catagorically will never have that done again. My PT is recommending dry needling and I’m having flashbacks of the NCS 😬

Trash. Estim is not dry needling. No palpation. No twitch, no effectiveness.

What an idiot to say such a thing. PTs actually do a better job dry needling than the gooks who practice sticking needles on voodoo dolls.
@MrNicholasPower2 жыл бұрын
Nonsense. Go to a properly trained acupuncturist.
@closetmonsterjesse Жыл бұрын
Your mother is nonsense. PTs do this shit better than acupuncturists. Learn from Myopainseminars, some of the founders of dry needling.
