Wow! I think it will be interesting to make degustation of different strains and types of mushrooms. Like compare taste of different morels. Compare piopino with parasitica and different oyster mushrooms. Some people think they all taste same, but it's not and different texture.

What type of mycorrhizael fungi is most commonly cultivated to use with plants? It usually comes in a powder but i have seen liquid cultures if it as well in grow shops.

I have seen a couple of your videos by now, I am very impressed by your work in doing all these experiments, but what I like the most is the walkthrough the scientific papers. Also i heard about something called the danish morel project, idk if its worth much, but i cant imagine fellow danes will do projects worth nothing.

Thank you for the paper recommendation. I am also dreaming of cultivating morels, as well as oysters to eat plastic. My innitial plan was to collect wild morel prints in my area, and then attempt to grow them outside in my garden, but after learning more about mycorrhizal fungi, it seems that it may be better to hunt for strains that others have already put work into getting to fruit without tree interaction. My first morel culture arrives next week sometime, and I'm very excited about trying to get it to fruit in several different ways. Looking forward to learning more about your process, strains, etc. I see on your etsy that some strains are available, but I'm curious if any of these morel strains you are working on would be available. Perhaps we could work something out. I would love to try more than one strain (the one i will have soon) just to give myself the best chances. Where did you obtain your spores? I have only seen liquid cultures.

Please make high resolution photos of agar plates and insert in video. It's almost impossible to see what is in it. Only some white or pink stuff.

Is it possible that the formation of sclerotia is more effective when the mycelium has access to many-years-older carbon deposits in the soil rather than newly deposited carbon? The paper : "Isotopic evidence indicates saprotrophy in post-fire Morchella in Oregon and Alaska" by Hobbie , Rice, Weber, Smith concluded that : "morels fruiting in post-fire environments in our study assimilated old carbon and were saprotrophic." Additionally with respect toward the sclerotia growth of Morchella I found this article to be particularly interesting just in general. "Involvement of autophagy and apoptosis and lipid accumulation in sclerotial morphogenesis of Morchella importuna" By PeixinHeabKeWangaYingliCaicXiaolongHuaYanZhengaJunjieZhangaWeiLiu
