Jokes aside, you gotta respect the guys who are willing to pressure test, and actually go hard to see if these techniques will stand up. 👍

@@meat-hook except there comes a point where the lack of danger leads to complacent training. Training with no urgency or training bad foundation that may seem like safety and flow in dojo but on street will get you killed. Example: the BJJ trendy craze all these fake martial artist are flocking to these days. Does BJJ work? Yes. Do you want to instinctively go to the grow on every encounter cause your coach says 90% fights end up on the ground. Yet your coach doesnt mention that your opponenta buddies are ready to curbstomp you or pull out a shank to stabb you on the ground while your tied up with his boy. Training doesnt always translate to real world.

@@jktech2117 competitions are good except its usually where you get hurt most other than the street. Once get older its harder and less practical to compete. Regular sparring and Light sparring are just fine. Its the constant safety net of "new styles of training" and safety pads etc that teach a bad foundation. Theres no urgency or consequence. They have there place but if used ever time to train that no bueno. Its kinda like that in firearms too, laser and digital dryfire apps are cool but old fashion dryfire and range time cant be replaced. Just my 2 cents

Nice for show and gaining self-confidence, but for self-defense on the street it is useless.

Then you've either never trained or never been in a real fight. Nothing goes the way you hope, but having trained reactions and muscle memory is vital. If you think otherwise, go pick a fight with a sport fighter, and see what happens. Then imagine if they trained for one with no rules.
