Fact and logic? Facts like Darwin saying we evolved from apes? No, he didn’t. Or the Bible saying God created everything in seven days? No, it says six days, then he rested. Surely anyone of average intelligence should get those things right. Actually, I’m an atheist, but somehow I don’t think that makes me smarter than all the living Nobel prize winning scientists who believe in religion. I got bored counting them, but there’s a long list on Wikipedia.

@@MontyVideo969 It's because, for vast majority of people, religion isn't some answer to the deeper mysteries of cosmos, but more of an object of comfort. The universe is a vast, dark and scary place and the idea of god and the idea that they're not alone in an endless void of the universe brings some people a semblance of comfort. I'm an atheist and do not need that reassurance, but that is what it is for most people. If you probe deep enough into their minds, they'll reveal this to you.

I like how they (science) said the reason you can see stars which are now known as galaxies with their own light source is because the sun shines on them, and why there’s no light at night, except for the stars is because there isn’t anything to reflect the light so it goes on until it hits something apparently…😵‍💫🤷‍♀️ So I guess science was in the belief system back then. demonstrating that you don't understand evolution at all. We didn't come from apes, but a different branch of hominids. We evolved in a parallel process, utilising the savannah instead of tree dwelling. It's a lot more believable than the sky wizard creating two people, forcing them to have an incestuous relationship, and then repeating it again when creating a giant deluge.
