I get that the reason they made it that way is so you can't spend the Mana the turn you play the card. But is a pretty awkward interaction. They could just say "Gain an empty Mana Crystal and destroy one of your opponent's Mana Crystals" and it would be the exact same effect without that very specifict wording. But we are talking about the same company that used the "Once per game" effect for the first time when they printed Harth Stonebrew, and 1 month after they made Timewinder Zarimi and worded the "Once per Game" in a completly different way, just for the sake of being inconsistent with the text of the cards.

But I doubt it was worth to counter it. He wasted 6 mana to save 5 mana on next five turns. He kept the tempo tho.

@@skyrmaLT its actually pretty important as doomkin is one of the key cards for wheelock in the matchup against warrior, letting you get wheel out before they are likely to have answers to your threats + be able to kill you in 5 turns

The smartest play Anatkh make there was play the Safety Goggle first to avoid the freezing curse then he unfreeze himseft to deal damage. What a marvelous play 🤯

⁠@@johantitulaer1052 He drew a Frost Plague at the start of his turn 0:26 so the boar would’ve cost 2 mana, which would’ve only been 8(goggles; 6+2) + 7(Reno; 5+2) + 8(weapon; 3+3+2) = 23 damage, and not lethal. But the Safety Goggles discounting to 0 mana overrode the plague 0:33 letting him play the double riff for 12 damage(10 more damage than boar into goggles) adding to 33 damage for lethal

@@okaythisisepic6196 containment unit is a 7 mana 6/6 minion that has "Magnetize. Deathrattle: summon a random 8-cost minion." Magnetize is a keyword that lets mechs fuse with each other, so containment unit was fused into my Zilliax. Upon death, my Zilliax summoned, Magtheridon Unreleased, an 8-cost minion that deals 3 damage to all enemies at the end of your turn.

I found that doomkin interaction a few weeks ago. I hovered over the card for like 5 turns and was wondering if it really worked as it said wondering it it would steal a full crystal. Even with that in mind I didn’t notice he passed entirely on turn 5 and then had my mind blown when it did nothing turn 6

Didn't play for like 5 years because I found the game more and more random and unpredictable. Just watched some videos like this one: No one seems to understand anything even if they play for years, and you can clearly kill the opponent without any setup. But as long as you have fun that's nice!

@@lucabaracuda987 The minion he played gives +2 armor every time you gain armor. Safety Goggles gives 6. Reno gave 5+2 = 13. First Verse Riff gives 2+2 (+2 attack) = 17 (+2) Second Verse Riff gives another 2+2 (+2) = 21 (+4) The weapon gives you 3 armor when you attack, so 3+2 = 26 (+4).

The doomkin trick is cool I guess but not practical, you basically have to pass a whole turn on 6, even if they played doomkin with no battlecry you are behind on board, only works with a class like warrior I guess, and if they didn’t drop doomkin cause you just passed and go for a tempo play you are just fked
