Not to be that one nerd comment but yes! Evolution can happen quite quickly actually, for some animals it can take just days for it to change. If the environment changes quickly enough, the animal will have to adapt quickly. Those who aren’t as fit for that new environment die more often than others, those who are better fit will go off to pass that gene and it doesn’t take all that long. And it’s just simply natural selection, but for some animals I doubt they could do it as quickly as others. But it can still go pretty quickly, either way 7th grade science class finally making itself useful, lets go
