I think gold-pressed-latinum is a composite material, rather than an alloy... kinda like aerogel, before the freeze-drying process. I wonder if once they noticed Frakes sit down and stand up like that the writers may have chosen to add more scenes of Riker doing that.
@sarahberkner Жыл бұрын
No, you maybe knew this but it's because he had a bad back and had trouble repeatedly sitting down and standing up the normal way so much while filming.

I laughed so hard at that the first time I went through DS9. I actually thought there was a slim chance that those two would become friends (as opposed to frenemies) but I should have known better. ^.^

Jonathan Frakes perfected a particular method of sitting down and standing up for _TNG_ . It makes me wish there was an emote for it for 'STO.' Call it 'The Riker Manoeuvre.'

you only get that sleazy porn like sound from a sax. Drums are portentous, violins are despairing, flute light and airy, tubas are musical farts. triangle tells you you have email, trumpets are militaryl

Other hilarious moments: Seven of Nine: Are you in love with me, Ensign? Kim: Well, no. Seven of Nine: Then you wish to copulate? Kim: No! No! I don't know what I mean. Seven of Nine: ... Nevertheless, I've been wanting to explore my humanity. Take off your clothes! Kim: Umm. Seven!| Seven of Nine: Don't be alarmed! I won't hurt you. Picard: Mr. Worf, throw (Q) in the brig! Worf: Gladly, Captain. Q: "Well, don't just stand there. Say something!" Picard: "GET OUT OF MY CHAIR!" Picard: I don't mean to be rude, but I'm not seeking Jama'haron. Vash: Not that I was going to offer it, but you should really try it sometime. Q: What do I have to do to convince you (that Q is human)? Worf: Die! Q: Oh, very clever, Worf! Eat any good books, lately? Mr. Worf: Sir, I must protest! I am not a merry man! Female Q: (to Q) Get away from that dog! (To Janeway) I wasn’t talking about the puppy. Troi: Counselor Troi personal log ... My mother is onboard.

There's a few scenes missing: Odo: "You'd stab someone in the back?" Garak: "It's the safest way!" Riker wanting to mess with the doll of Picard on Captain Picard Day. Worf in Sherwood Forest: "Captain, I am not a merry man!" Worf complaining to Data about some alien diplomat. Data suggests looking for common ground. Worf describes him as rude and demanding. Data genuinely trying to be helpful replies, "Those are qualities you possess in abundance!" Data mimicking the Star Fleet officer in an effort to master small talk. Anytime O'Brien says, "Bollocks!"
