My gs-mini mahogany is my daily player and it goes in the RV with me, it goes to the lake cabin. It has been the perfect guitar for retirement for learning the instrument and having it always at hand. Couldn’t be more pleased.

I bought the baby Jane last year, from your Downtown shop, when I was visiting San Antonio. I brought it home to the UK, in its special backpack as a carry on. I absolutely love it. The sound is amazing for the size of it. It’s my go to guitar.

Chris, I am convinced that you would make any guitar to sound great.

I’ve owned both. I’ve never had a problem getting the GS Mini in the overhead bin. Both are great sounding for what they are

1 3/4" nut on the Furch! Owned all mahogany GS for fifteen years, taken it on many airline flights with no issues putting in the overhead compartments, unless I'm the last one to board and there's simply no more room. It always takes me a couple days to re adjust to the narrow nut. Furch sounds wonderful, yet if Taylor ever makes the GS in a wider nut, they'll sell a billion more of them.

I have the ceder mahogany little jane, its really worth the money. Packs very small and has a big sound. perfect guitar for people who travel by motorcycle or bicycle.

I’ve had these travel guitars. I like the Yamaha Csf1m most. Hands down the best sounding, equal or better quality and least expensive. It’s been to Africa and Asia and back several times. Searching no longer for a travel guitar.

I bought a 214CE DLX and brought it back to Spain. I put it in the overhead bin on both flights. The second flight we were literally running to the gate as they were shutting the door. When we got to our seats, the entire overhead bin above our seats was empty on a completely full flight! This never happens. I have and 11 year old GS mini and I love it.

GS mini’s are great, but for a pure travel guitar the collapsible neck is a major game changer. No need to worry about getting it on the plane. The Furch is great for that, but it isn’t cheap. If you need a travel guitar with that sound quality, then Furch is a no brainier. I went for a cheaper option and got a Journey guitar, which also has a collapsible neck.

The HPL Martin X Series single O was the answer for me due to stability and scale length. Use case is mainly camping and road trips

Great demo. Looks to me that Little Jane bandwidth is somewhat larger that GS mini which is very Medium focused. Little jane sounds a bit more balanced if you wish. Yet $1500 is rather expensive for a travelling guitar in my opinion.

You don't *need* to travel with it, it just happens to be the perfect size to travel with if you choose to do so. If it sounds great, it's a great guitar, no?

@@le_th_ Well, I guess I should have mentioned that travelling for me refers actually to Airlines challenge...

I have a GS mini ekoa, and it’s OK, but I can’t think of the last time I played it. Most recent trip I took I just traveled with a full size guitar after purchasing a Mono case for it. Little Jane looks more practical for traveling, but I have to wonder how it all fits together after several years.

The GS-mini sounds more equally rounded in the highs, mids and lows. The Little Jane has good highs and lows but the mids seem lacking. I am thinking of getting a GS-Mini-E Mahogany. Thanks for the info / video.

I just treated my self to a gs mini, in 2018 I bought a new martin 000 15 , it's the only acoustic I have had since. I love it it's worn in nice has a few nicks but plays great, I decided though I don't know why but I wanted a second guitar....this is a true story, I played a new j 45 it was a bit stiff then I played a martin 00 18 and to me it was not even close to my 000 15 , so I started to leave the store then I saw this smallish guitar it was a gs mini rosewood, I played it for about 15 minutes and carried it up to the counter, I didn't even ask for a better price but the sales person gave me 10 off on this new mini this guitar is amazing I love it .oh I also played a Larrivee 000 40...nope. thanks guy's I just wanted to share my mini story

I have tested the Little Jane's several times at guitar shows and think they are awesome, however the reason I don't own one is because they are traditional wood only and for the price I can get 2 GS Mini's. I have GS Mini's and feel they are the best guitar in class for the price, however my actual goto "travel" guitar is a McPherson CF Touring which is a dream to play, I rarely need to tune, isn't susceptible to climate, and is more durable in terms of car, plane, boat, weather, toss around, etc. although its by far the most expensive but I will have this McPherson for life and my daughter will inherit it.

I check my GS mini all the time (SE Asia based) the aircase is pretty sturdy, No probs so far. Hope that continues 😅 However some airlines will charge for an extra bag, this does make the Furch an interesting proposition

Czech guy here… thinking about Furch. I really like Little Jane, but I am not traveler. I am looking for guitar mainly for home playing… got in mind also Violet Deluxe Em a. But still not sure what to pick. I Have Fender CC-60 SCE 2 years now and I would like to treat myself with something better craftmanship, which wont ever be Martin or Taylor under 2 500$ for me. I saw these guitars in store and played them. To this price you are paying just for brand. Can you recommend me some Furch, please?

How do the Little Jane hold up over time? At $1500.00 US, it makes it pricey imho

Been using it 2years. IMO, this is more than traveling guitar. A good mid range with loud voice, surely better than gs mini & Martin jr which I also own.

I dont see the gs mini as a travel guitar. Its just a smaller guitar that you can travel with (and play comfortably on the couch/chair/stage. The little jane is really made to be a ‘Travel’ guitar first.

Serious question: Why was Gibson criticized for its Player Port as merely "a gimmick" but other makers, as here, are lauded for "innovation'" for using essentially the same thing?

Don‘t need to watch the video to say that Furch is better all the way. Everytime I touched a Taylor Mini in a store, I was surprised how shitty these are…maybe we don‘t get the best taylor stuff here but that‘s my experience… Got myself a Furch a few years ago, great guitars - not vintage style but very versatile
