This game reminds me of Samurai Jack, it combines intense combat with tranquil walking sequences to build up the bosses to be very difficult opponents. In terms of Story, this game has quite an entertaining one, its told in a cryptic way, but if you put wording and phrasing together, it brings the story full circle after you beat the game, so to really grasp the story, it should be played more than once.

I've enjoyed this game so far. I've beaten two of the "keepers" or "jailers" (can't remember what they call 'em), but I really like the challenge. While it's not a game that's going to make it to a GOTY list, it still makes a very nice addition to the PS Plus free games list.

Sweet. Been excited about this one ever since I discovered that Danger was contributing tracks to the soundtrack. Easily the one part of this game I was most excited for and of course, no one else covers sound, music and voice except the bearded shaman of gaming. Definitely downloading this for free on PS4.

Just so you all know during the walking segments you can just press X and the character walks automatically. So you can avoid the painful holding of the thumbstick for what seems like forever.

Was freaking stoked to find out this was going to be free on PS Store the other day. Both consoles are getting top tier downloadable games. This reminds me a lot of course of Afro Samurai but also of Assault Android Cactus, Velocity, Stories: The Path of Destinies and No More Heroes which has the same fight one boss move on to the next style. +UrbanDanger ! Dark souls is more of an action oriented, mostly horizontal Metroidvania than a proper "boss fight game".

Shadow of the Colossus had some great exploration and platforming between the bosses and in Souls bosses are just a small part of the game. There is no "boss fight genre" as far as I know. There are games such as Mighty no 9 and No More Heroes that are marketed as "boss battles", but they're not really a collection of boss battles at all.

You can press "X" in between fights so that the game plays itself until the next fight, so the camera messing with your movement is a non-issue.

Have I enountered a glitch? When fighting the sniper-like boss she keeps running away from me. I have to chase her down about 10-15 times before she starts a close quarter battle. Anyone know? Or tips maybe?

Yea shes certainly among my least favorite fights in the game. It feels like a big game of hide and seek , and her drones are just irksome as this is a game designed generally around combating one enemy.

I played this game, i can say that each stage has its own boss battle and dising and play through. The walking parts between the bosses where nice and relaxing but the game gets harder by each new boss. And the last boss (i think it is the last one i dont know , its that girl after that angel looking girl who offers you a chance to stay at her place.) The last boss, really asked the peak of your skills that you learned durnin the game. It is hard and it has that nice old school gameplay, that makes you wana try over and over argain until you beat it. Great game i give it an 8.0 Dislike those walking parts could be a little bit faster.

I think the artwork/style is really good. The story seemed like it would be good as well. What made me quit is the bloodborne-ish "you have to do this one thing our way and if you don't you will be severely punished for it" style. It's just not for me. I'd rather keep a story moving along and get to an actual point (in meaning, "I get it, that guy is supposed to be tough. Can we move on now? I really just want to see where this goes.) than to spend 30 minute/1 hour on one person. If this is your thing, it's a great game.
