Furio Talks With His Uncle About Carmela, The Sopranos HD

Furio’s uncle is what Junior should’ve been, a straight arrow, always has the family’s best interest in mind. Junior was smart, but he always let his insecurities make the decisions.
@rosebonifaciorealty38992 жыл бұрын
He was smart but not as capable as others, as shown in The Many Saints.
@maggyfrog2 жыл бұрын
junior was insecure to the end, and he was bitter about being sidelined when he didn't really have the character makings of being a boss. otoh, if furio were born to the right family, he would have made an epic and scary boss, like an "old school italian" version of michael corleone. his diplomacy skills, psychopathic killer instinct and genuine charm would have gone a long way with the right bloodline.

There's something bold and honest about the way that Furio admits he loves Carmela. What I like about Furio is that he seemed to be in touch with his feelings and not ashamed of them.
@smellypatel52727 ай бұрын
It's also that he's venting to someone he trusts. Look at how cold furio can be in his business dealings. This is the human side of him that's vulnerable. I think most of us are compartmentalized like that to some extent. We all need someone to talk to about our feelings or else we bottle it up and suffer

At the end Furio's uncle thinks he's gotten through to him, looking at Furio's face i'd say he's actually genuinely weighing up the pros and cons of murding Tony.

I am watching Sopranos for the second or third time now and have come to the conclusion that Furio was introduced to show the differences between a Mafioso and a Mobster. Furio is much more professional and serious than his New Jersey counterparts. He was easily Tony's best enforcer, he never got into stupid trouble like the others (The Pine Barrens fiasco, or stealing cable from the construction sites, for instance) or caused headaches for Tony. Don't get me wrong, Furio is not a nice guy, but his feelings for Carmela and how he acted on them did show a sense of honour in a way that was beyond the other characters. And there was a reason Carmela was attracted to him, she saw those qualities, which were often lacking in Tony.

Strictly speaking Furio isn't a Mafioso. He's from Naples. He's a Camorrista. If he were from Calabria he would be in in the 'Ndraghetta. In South Italy these are very important distinctions.

The Sopranos is a great show from the perspective of language variety and accuracy. Of course it gives you fifty shades of New Jersey accent, but the parts in Italian and in Neapolitan like this are very colourful and ring authentic to Italians as well. I also love that, as opposed to many movies and tv shows using American or British actors for Russian parts, in the Sopranos pretty much all of the Russians are mother-tongue Russians. I respect the dedication.

I wish the last scene in the Soprano's finale had been Tony going to the bathroom, then opening the door to come back to the restaurant and there is Furio. Fade to black just like when he collected from Jean Phillipe.

I remember this scene in a TV commercial.

Love how KZbin algorithm spots this video as a scene of The Godfather

This scene asks: If you could break the law with impunity, would you kill for unrequited love?
@bidhrohi123 жыл бұрын
Not for this particular love. He could do so much better.

I never thought about it before but I guess Furio could’ve gone back to be with her, once Tony bit the big one. That’s assuming the murderer didn’t take out the whole damned family.
@haydeng35412 жыл бұрын
I would assume they only killed Tony

I usually don't go with absolutes but that would never happen. Cultural and the obvious stakes/risks aside, it'd be as probable as you murdering your whole family

The dialect would be incomprehensible to somebody who studied standard Italian in school.
@criceto3 жыл бұрын
Well, it is still the dialect that actors use in the movie, not the truly one. It is good that the producers uses real italian actors.

can this video be any quieter

they need to make an "el camino" spin-off movie about what happened to furio after jersey. doesn't even need to be integrated with the events in the show after he left. he must've pulled off some cool shit after going back to italy.

Furio actually loved Carmella

This is when furio decided to kill tony on the last ep.
@Pewling Жыл бұрын
And this is how the show writers told us who killed Tony in the last episode. *Cough*
@thomasbougher89302 жыл бұрын
Tony the Bear isn't so easy to kill, even for Furio.
@jjano23203 жыл бұрын
Fiction- A real Furio wouldn't talk to anyone about that.
