Mere words are inadequate.....Thanx for all that all of you do!! While Jorma is obviously the ringmaster of the circus, it's clear every week that without everyone behind the scenes this weekly magic would not happen. Thank you!

Mine is 1/2 , Jan. 2nd, so always was going back to school that day....I saw JA at Fillmore East when Grace was something like 7 or 8 months pregnant. When she'd rest, Hot Tuna, or what became called Hot Tuna, would play. Was that the original reason they formed?

@Vanessa I have a question for Jorma. All the recent talk about the new record, the current vinyl revival, etc, has me wondering what the chances of repressing some old Hot Tuna and/or solo Jorma albums might be. I've got an awesome sounding, relatively recent pressing of Burgers and also nice copies of Phosphorescent Rat and the first record. It would be great to fill out the rest of the collection. Maybe a limited, full discography box for an upcoming RSD?? Whether the question gets asked or not, I'd also like to thank you, Jorma and everyone else there at FPR for being there for us through the mess we called 2020 and in turn creating an amazing year of music!! Hope you all are having a wonderful holiday and wishing the all the best for 2021. It can only get better, right? Love you all!!

I'm 63 years old and have at least 2 dozen Airplane, Tuna and Jorma solo albums. Almost every one is in mint condition. I have them in a bookcase and rarely listen to them. I'm so familiar with the music and prefer to search for versions that I have never heard before. The sound quality of the vinyl is as good if not better than the new digital music. Honestly, I look through the record jackets more often than I take out a disc to listen to. Love having them more for sentimental reasons than use.
@erics58463 жыл бұрын
@@brianht1434 I'm not sure I understand your response. Are you saying they're not worth reprinting because you personally aren't interested?
@brianht14343 жыл бұрын
@Eric S. I love my vinyl collection and would never part with it.I just believe that few people use turntables nowadays. The cost of produing and pressing vinyl discs would be more costly than money received from sales. I don't think it's practical any longer. I have had the majority of my vinyl collection for 40 years or more. There was no such thing as a CD or the internet when I purchased these albums. I'm so familiar with these recordings and prefer to search the internet for tunes that include Jorma that I have not heard before. Always enjoy hearing something new. Maybe I am underestimating the demand for vinyl these days. I'm not certain. Like I said previously the sound quality of the vinyl is as good as the digital popular now. I don't feel the pressing of vinyl discs is not a good idea,but I don't think it would be a profitable endeavor. Jorma and Jack are my all time favorites since I saw them live at the Academy of Music in NYC in 1973!
@brianht14343 жыл бұрын
Actually, I believe that my vinyl when played on a quality turntable sound better than my CD's. I often watch KZbin or other apps on my Smart TV and listen with a sound bar. With all music being virtually free it seems that people may be reluctant to pay for a CD or vinyl disc ( except for those die-hard fans of a particular artist such as Jorma )! BTW I thought the Ballad of Easy Rider was incredible🎸
