A better sewing kit: hand sewing machine I have one and I have started to bring them on trips because it saves time with hand sewing along with it can fix most tears (I still bring hand helf needles tho too)

I like the camelback water packs. They hold up to half a gallon a water and you can hide the straw in four fursuit head and take a drink anytime in the suit!

A small backpack or shoulder bag to carry emergency supplies such as your phone and extra water. They come in all sorts of colors and themes, so finding one to match your fursuit's personality is easy. Even if you have a handler who can carry stuff for you, it's always a good idea to be able to have your phone on you in case you get separated.

The chirping devices aren’t always necessary. Depending on the sound you want, you can usually learn to do it yourself using nothing but your vocal chords. Now, there are obviously some sounds that humans aren’t capable of mimicking, such as train whistles, but you’d be surprised what you can sound like with practice.

Pro tip: party stores often have oversized props, hats, glasses, and even some collars! You can also find scraps of fabric sold at crafting stores that are cut square and work fantastically as fursuit head-sized bandanas! You’ve got a lot of options if you’re looking for props/accessories, you’ve just gotta look around :) ALSO the dollar store can have some pretty cool stuff (usually in the party or toy section) that can easily work with your suit/head!

a backpack. I got a cheap amazon basic backpack and use it all the time when fursuiting. I put 3-4 bottles of water in it. Its also a good spot to put stuff that you get at the dealers den.

With collars my general rule is a medium collars for non suit, large and up for fursuit, for a female a large is normally fine

I have a german shepherd brush, well, I have two, actually three. One is two brushes in one, one is just a brush to use for the under coat and the other one is for the top coat. I can just use my dogs old brush if I take the fur out.

If you can, you can maybe buy foam fans there like plastic fans but the fan is foam. There small and may be able to fit inside a fursuit head. There are some that break easily luckily, they can be fixed depending on how bad the condition is. Also they are quite, some might not be, and can't be heard when talking. They are cheap unlike a built in fan. They also run on battery's and not water. I hope this helps, I'm probably wrong about all this but they sought of help. They cool you down and are easily affordable.

Cpu cooling? Oh I'm designing a custom water cooling loop in my fursuit head with a custom 360mm radiator. With ML120 RGB fans. What waterblock do you think I should use, I was thinking EK supremacy EVO. For airflow I was thinking using 2 Noctua NF-A8 PWM fans all connected to my ASRock X299E-ITX/ac with an i5-8350k With a TITAN X Pascal. What do you think, Stormi?

I use a cooling towel while suiting. But is there a way where I can use a binder and not pass out in a suit? Because suiting and binding at the same time doesn't work for me because I can't breathe well in a binder Edit: also for props where can I find a fruitsnack prop?

Doesn't the little brush pull out strands of fur from the suit and create risk of wearing the fursuit out faster? And would it be better to brush it when it's still wet after washing, perhaps while fabric softener or hair conditioner is worked in, so the fur fibers slip easily through the brush without being pulled out? If I ever get a fursuit (and it's going to be very expensive), I want to maximize its longevity while also making it look its best.

Excellent questions! Every time you brush your suit a minute amount of fur will be removed due to the nature of how fur (luxury shag at least) is manufactured. That being said however, you'd have to brush a suit for a very, very, VERY long time in order for balding to form. When you buy luxury shag fur brand new it's normal for little particles of fur to scatter about the second you remove it from the plastic bagging. This process *does* slow down and eventually plateaus to a point. Normal, routine fursuit brushing shouldn't cause any harm provided the fur is of good quality. It's completely normal for a tiny, tiny amount of fur to come off after brushing. *DO NOT ATTEMPT ANY OF THIS BEFORE CONSULTING YOUR MAKER FIRST!!!* As for using fabric softener or hair conditioner, I personally have no experience with using those chemicals on fur. I use Woolite Gentle Cycle Liquid Detergent but the best thing to do is ask your maker. They may be using a fur that works better with other types of detergent. Body suits can *usually* be tossed in the wash provided there's no padding/not digigrade, etc.)Before washing the suit, brush it so the fur doesn't get matted/tangled in the wash. After washing your suit (Very Cold, GENTLE CYCLE ONLY; Use a machine with NO agitator!!! This can cause serious damage to your suit IF your washer is equipped with one), it's a good idea to hang the suit up and brush it as it dries. You can also put the body suit in your drier but set it to AIR DRY, NO HEAT. ABSOLUTELY NO HEAT WHATSOEVER. Doing so will allow the fur to look much nicer and again, you don't want it matted as it dries. Remember this applies to only a body suit. DO NOT throw your paws, peet, tail, and most importantly your head in there without asking your maker first!!!! Fursuits have to be washed in a very specific manner that can vary depending on how the suit is built. Fursuits can last anywhere from 2-6 years. Unfortunately their lifespan is finite but you can make your suit last a very long time if you take good care of it.

The suit I'm planning on getting will be mostly made of NFT stretch fur, and that stuff is crazy expensive and hard to repair so I want to make sure I take care of it the best I can so it lasts as long as possible. I brought up fabric softener and hair conditioner because someone once told me about using that to make the fur very soft and silky, and easy to brush.
