@@dogsandyoga1743 I feel like from Midnight Marauders forwards, phife wasn't the best lyricist, but could still put up a decent fight against any of his peers. Everything before that has that 80s silly comedic party fun vibe that stopped cutting it right after the very beginning of the 90s. The tribe guys I believe sure noticed that, being the reason why The Low end theory has a more heavy boom bap style and more raw and mature lyrics and flows, still experimenting with their sound
