Tabitha, Tabitha, Tabitha! So creative! I love watching pattern bar videos because even when you plan them out, you often get good, unexpected surprises. Even when the results are not quite what you wanted, you can cut them and make a new creation. The possibilities are literally endless! My mind was racing thinking of all of different uses for those pieces you had at the end. Thank you, thank you! During these challenging times, you have definitely helped keep my mind busy and happy! 😁👍💕

Thanks Tabitha, you always have great videos! I read somewhere that you need to buff the saw cuts or you will get a haze after firing the cut bars into a piece. Do you do this or not find it necessary? Also, how thin do you cut your slices?

Did you describe the making of the colorful bar at 22:45? It looks like an all frit melt but the streakiness of the blues has me baffled. WONDERFUL tutorial. Cheers!

I have only recently stumbled upon your videos and am so impressed with your work and your creativity. I want to learn more and have subscribed. Please share, how may times can you retire glass? For example, the pattern bars, can they now be combined in various designs to fuse and create a new image? Or, is there a limit to how many times you can fire the same piece of glass? Thanks so much.

I’m thinking of making a candy dish, with the tiny pieces similar to yours, but incorporating them in the middle & running up the side of the bowl, any suggestions before I start this project? Those pieces are amazing!
@TabithasGlassEmporium

my advice would be to make sure your bottom piece of glass is evenly covered by the bits on top, try not to leave any gaps, even using frit to fill in the spaces between the bits. Other than that, enjoy and I would love to see the final result.

I honestly don't know. The glass I use is made specifically for this purpose and the melting temperatures a known for it (Bullseye and Oceanside glass). It is also a question of impurities that can explode in the kiln. Sorry, I just don't have an answer for you.

Thank you for this video. Do you need to use some type of resist on those stainless steel bars?
@TabithasGlassEmporium
@TabithasGlassEmporium 2 жыл бұрын
No, you will get a bit of glass that sicks to them boy any resist you use would end up in the pattern bar which would be bad

1g of water is equal to 1cm3 volume. Just weigh your water out the mould and use that weight as your volume for the rest of your calculation. 👍🏻
