Been watching you since the beginning and your still teaching me. Miss you brother. Do some guest fusion vids or something.

One thing I find is good in the contour toolpath is you do not set a cut depth in the passes tab you set a max ramp stepdown, doing this the cutter will ramp all the way around the part like what the ramp toolpath does.

This is a great option for CAM! is there an efficient way to tab out a feature in a design? As in, not CAM but just CAD.

Is the automatic parameters such as Spindle speed and chip load in Fusion any good?

Hi, I know this is an old video but what if you need to use a 3D toolpath (for carving etc) but you still want to use tabs? I'm using the steep and shallow to cut some chair legs and the piece is 3D right until the spoilboard, so I need to be using that function the whole way down, but I can't add tabs.

I know this is an old comment but for anyone wondering use the 3d tool path and set the height above the bottom of the model then run a 2d toolpath with tabs and combine the operation when your post processing

Hello Lars, I have no idea how to watch when you are live but that isn't important right now. I have been struggling to include a drawer slide from McMaster Carr (11435A26) and use it on the sides of a plywood drawer that can then be opened and closed. As you are able to help a lot of people, I wondered if this might be something you would be interested in looking into. If not, then no worries and thanks for your excellent work.

@@cadcamstuff Your videos have been a great help! Thank you for making them. Our shop uses Bobcad, but after playing with Fusion 360, I think I am going to push for a change.

Hi great videos. I followed the video regarding tabs using a basic shape with a slightly bigger stock than my model. When I place the tabs, triangle and or rectangular the point directly up instead of away from the model. My model was created on the top plane with z up, x left to right and y pointing to the rear as you look at the model? It's just a square extruded by 25mm with a cut out in the middle nothing fancy do you have any suggestions why fusion does this?

i had a similar thing with tabs when a contour toolpath was cutting on the wrong side of the contour, clicking the red arrow to make sure the toolpaths cuts on the outside of the contour makes the tabs looks right again, perhaps that was what happened in your case aswell

Hi Lars Just what I need, but for some fine parts that I need to laser cut from plywood. Any tips on how to do that? (I am new to Fusion 360). David
