Awesome technique. You keep finding ways to solves complex geometry problems with the common simple functions of the fusion toolbox.

That is super smart! Thank you so much for showing us these workflows.

I've never made use of the sheet metal tools as I haven't needed to model sheet metal. This use was an eye opener into something cool.

Thank you very much for the explanation! The only thing is that metal sheet needs a flat surface and does not work on totaly curved ones. And if we need to have it totaly curved end to end then I think we need to add a flat surface and then after finishing we can remove it.

Good thinking, add your flat surface to be 0.01mm long. It will be unoticable after the production process, eliminating the need for cutting that extra material.

can you make a video about ducts like for the 3d printer nozzle cooling

just curious about the width of the flex - where the connectors are, is bit wider than on flexion is there a rule how determinate dimensions ? Anyway Interesting content 🙂

@Fusion 360 School, why does it seem like your camera smoothly transitions from one point to another? Is there a setting to make it jump to certain places like in the video?
@antiundead2 жыл бұрын
He uses a Spacemouse by 3Dconnexion. It is a hardware gimble control that lets you rotate objects and the camera. If you just want the cool smooth motion, get the Spacemouse Compact/Wireless. You do not need the super expensive Pro or Enterprise versions, the compact version has two side buttons with macros.

How you're moving the objects that smoothly ?

I have a more complex issue, I have exported a 3d PCB step file of the actual FPC board and I want to bend that instead of creating a new component. is this possible?

Great work. why we needed the two cylinder block, can't we use other type of block which cuts the required curved surface in one command.
@joshuavincent78842 жыл бұрын
I think you could use any shape, it's just there to constrain the path of the flex
@Fusion360School2 жыл бұрын
I think what you are trying to say is to use the extrude command on the 2 circles. Yes, that would definitely be easier in this very simple example. I was trying illustrate how you can use the obstacle to cut into the flex. In cases where the obstacle is an irregular shape, the combine tool would be more useful.
