Looks like "Quick Add" is disabled for the hobbyist version of 360. I got around this by just making new plans. Kind of annoying, but it still works.

When playing with this and then researching a bit on my own. I found that you currently can not place dimensions from the exploded or isometric views. The measurements that it gives are different from the actual measurements in your design. you can only use top, front, and side views for placing dimensions. Not sure if anyone else has noticed this but I thought I would throw it out there since it was giving me so much trouble. Autodesk says they are working on making it possible, but it looks like they have been working on it since 2016 so not looking good for such a useful tool.

I tried using the exploded view with a design, it has multiple items of the same type in a tube. but as i copied and moved them from an original it only shows the one original in the exploded veiw instead of the othe 7 bodies.

some exploded views benefit from having a line that directs where the parts from an exploded view will fit within an assembly, do you have any thoughts about how this might be accomplished?

There is actually an option to show the line when you are moving the component in the animation view. At 2:47, you can see the option called "Trail Line Visibility" and if you click on it, it will highlight and the line shows up.

LMAO, it's no longer possible to have a multi-sheet drawings nor export them to PDF on the non-paid version. It's now "single sheet, print only". What a scummy restriction by Autodesk. On Macs, you can usually print to PDF always, so they don't use the system print dialog that allows this.
