Different ways of creating overmolds. When it comes to creating overmolds, there are usually two main aspects. The surface usually blends with the main body. And a recess has to be created on the base plastic to accommodate the overmold.

By far, the best tutorial presentations that I have come across. I am very happy that I found this site. I have contributed to his "coffee fund". Money well spent in appreciations for what I have learned.

@@Fusion360School I have been trying to adopt the top down design method for everything that I do, but I am not at all clear on how components from one project can be used in another. What I have seen online is not very clear or helpful. I would be happy if you could apply your most excellent tutorial skills to that topic. Stay well.

@@stevesilva6478 I must confess that I have very limited experience in cross referencing components across projects. This is certainly a topic that gets asked frequently in the forums, especially when it comes to changes and how they propagate. Definitely will need to research more on this.

how are your bodys differently colored? did you just give them a different appearances for demonstration or is your "component color cycling" different from mine?
@Fusion360School
@Fusion360School 3 жыл бұрын
Hi, I manually applied appearances to the bodies. Component color cycling only works for components.

Since you are working with Solid and Fusion - which programs are better and why? . and What is the difference between them ?
@Fusion360School
@Fusion360School 3 жыл бұрын
Cost-wise, Fusion is hard to beat. I would say that in terms of solid modelling capability, Fusion can do 70-80% of what SW can do, and that is enough for most users. If cost is not a concern, I would choose SW. It is a lot more polished and has less "quirks". Also, when it comes to drawings, SW beats Fusion hands-down.

Quick question I learn in my school to constrain all sketches that it’s get the red lock Why you are not doing this ?
@alexeyrybakov949
@alexeyrybakov949 3 жыл бұрын
it's important if you building useful parametric model (and last one in this tutorial done with full defined sketch). For quick one time demo it's don't matter.
@Fusion360School
@Fusion360School 3 жыл бұрын
Yes, you are right. You should fully constrain all your sketches in your designs. In my videos, I often do not do that just purely out of convenience. In the course of preparing models for videos, I have to do a lot of testing and would often go through dozens of sketches. Fully defining them is a huge time burden and does not add value to the point of the video. Sorry if I have misled you in any way on this.
@JuanAdam12
@JuanAdam12 3 жыл бұрын
All the other “tutorials” on KZbin beat this into your head and chew through minutes on their videos by constraining every detail of the sketch, all the while not getting to the purported lesson of the video. This channel’s Presenter assumes you are not a total beginner, and therefore does not insult your intelligence-rare in today’s world. His lessons are a gift.
