Very similar dimensions and weight to the tarpon 160 the chimes on the Hull are practically identical. This kayak won't feel heavy in the water whatsoever and perform amazing. After owning all the top brand rotomolds , prowler elite, tarpon 160, RTM tempo which is practically identical to the old scupper pro. This looks totally amazing. A Kick rudder system on such a tough wearing plastic kayak makes sense . A kayak built from tough plastic for tough conditions needs it's rudder to be totally optional in shallow rocky areas.

Would be great and for me a decision making towards the fusion 480 if the over stern rudder is made available. I live in the USA east coast and during summer there is lots of dead algae floating that will get caught on the standard rudder so a kick up rudder is a must.

with only a fibreglass insert between the fish hatch and the rear of the yak, how does it go cleaning out blood that will drain inbetween? Cheers.

Can this kayak be stored vertically? I plan to put padding in the bow like a pool noodle on top of some rubber mat with foam, just want to make sure it won’t damage the kayak. If so I’m ready to call Ruben and place my order

Good weight for a plastic yak that size, it's only 3-4kg heavier than my fibreglass 480 kayak and has that great new live well. I know a few guys here already have them or they're on their way, so we'll see how they go!

Hopefully the kick up rudder will be available soon. The East Coast of the USA is full of rocky beaches and the standard rudder will get quickly damaged.

What is the longest rod that can fit in the central hatch? I'm on the west coast and we like to fish the iron out here. I usually throw it with about an 8' stick, id like to be able to put that in there.

How do you pump out the water incase you have water in the haul while on the water?

The kayak is approx 31kg as mentioned.There should be no reason to get water in the hull on the water and if you wish yes you could add a pump as a safety feature but we have never had to worry about that before.

my only complain about it is the live well can only keep 2-3 bait fish alive because the water is shallow, other than that it has been perfect.

if you want to raise the water level turn the backward facing scupper to a forward facing one so both of them face forward and you will have more water in there at all times.Or you can semi block the rear facing one so the water takes longer to drain out and the amount coming in is far more than it can leave if that makes sense.
